G'day mate when i get to the step at 3:30 i try to turn smtp authentication on, i enter my userid and password but i don't get an OK button , only CLOSE if i hit close it remembers my username and password but does not switch on SMTP authentiction Gavin

As of 2022, you have to get a one time password and put it in for the gmail password into the copier to scan.

it didn't work for me i m keep getting AUTHENTICTION with the Destination has failed check settings everthing is correct on user name and password called ricoh but they are not a good support people i used google yahoo and comcast as my smtp server settting i have SP C360SFNW

Hi Leif! I hope you are having a great day. For some reason, I can not get this to work. The only thing I can think of is that the ports maybe wrong? It wouldn't let me update the first port to 25 (it's grayed out) but I was able to update the second port to 465. That is the only difference I can see. Do you have any advice?

Hi, maybe you should check that the two factor authentication is turned off in the google account. If this is an account that needs to use two factor, then you should setup the machine with an account that only will be used with the scanner.

anyway to have it send out as an alias? Would be useful for Google Apps accounts i would rather not have to pay 10 bucks a month for an email account for a printer

What about the error 535? We have set all the settings correctly....and also the server SMTP address: "smtp.gmail.com". Server error connection. ?! Can the firewall play a role in this context!?
