Scan to Folder Windows 7

A quick guide on how to setup a scan to folder in windows 7 for a ricoh mfp.

Thanks sooo much! My scan to folder worked over the years and stopped working one week ago. Probably when I changed my harddrive. Two things I had to chang: It didn't work without password protection anymore and the networkpath changed. Before the networkpath showed the whole path and now just the computer and the folder (no subfolders inbetween)

This tutorial was GREAT!! I watched the whole thing through first so forgetting to create a password on the shared folder was not an issue for me, I was ready for it. Every thing else was spot on!!! Thanks for the help, made me look like a hero/genius for my daughter's employer. Happy dad!!

Hi Brian, I bought a used Ricoh MPC400SR and don't have contract with Ricoh so I don't have account with them. I just want to know if its possible to still setup this printer for scan to folder without a ricoh a/c. Please instruct...

After all that is done what would be next to allow multiple people use that same folder to scan documents to their machines?

Are you talking about a share folder on one computer that has multiple folders for each user to scan to? An example would be C:\Scans\Scott and another user in that same scans folder on that same computer would be C:\Scans\Debby. Or are you talking about adding one key on the copier that scans to multiple people's folders on their individual computers, i.e. a group scan?

At 6:36 how do you know the IP adress of your machine, and when you do everything how do you scan at the end?

you have to configure it in your Printer in the Interface Tab, set a local IP or enable DHCP but it will be random each time you turn on your machine.

Do this: Control panel > hardware and sound > devices and printer > right click machine icon > click printer properties > click ports > look for IP port. Good luck yall
