I am caring for my mother in her last days. She brought me into this world and it’s such an honor to support her as she transitions to the next. "Creating a place for life to happen." Well said! Homemaking is making a strong return. With our geopolitical situation - which I will not go into details 😅 - is waking people up to a more grassroots movement. Creating memories for my children in a home with balance, love, fun and good smells of fresh baked goods is timeless. Smells always bring you back to strong memories. 🌼

Homemaking is hard. With homemaking you literally live at work and so the work to do is always in your face. As a mom of six I constantly have to dig deep and remember the reasons I chose this. It is a life of servitude! Your videos always help me so much to spark life back into homemaking, Noemi. I love your encouragement and gentle spirit. This video is one I needed this week. Something else that helps me and took me at least 10 years to learn, is to force myself to rest-despite feeling like I didn't get everything done I wanted. It's hard to rest "at work" but it actually increases productivity!

I have been married for 13 years. We are both 31 years old but it took me 10 years of our marriage to understand that being a homemaker is something i choose and something that god had helped guide me with. My husband works to provide for us as a soon to be family of 5 but his hard work is what makes me proud to be his wife and be a homemaker. We understand there is sacrifices and there is also love in understand what we both bring for our family. Noemi I am a long time fan but have not commented before. These past two videos have really hit me in the heart. To hear your feelings about your boys going to school, and then your thoughts on what motivates you to do all these creative things - I really appreciate hearing your heart so loud and clear. You certainly have hinted at it for your many videos, but you tend to focus on the how and less on the why. I am so grateful for your videos! They inspire me every day to do projects for my family and my home. Thank you for working so hard all these years to not only be an awesome Noemi, but also for sharing your stories with us. It means a lot. PS - I have purchased quite a few things that you recommend and they are always wonderful! Thanks for the reminder to pull out my window cleaning kit!

The answer in home making is definitely finding the "joy" in it....as a kid cleaning her room, the radio had to be on!!!...good music is a must to keep my motivation and focus going(and joy)....but most of all, as an adult, home making is about making it a priority!!....I also want a clean and safe respite from the world, nothing says chaos quite like a filthy, messy, unorganized home....just sayin'.....
@Jen39x2 жыл бұрын
You have no idea how helpful it is to see that even in a beautifully clean home like yours that spills happen and diffusers & windows need cleaned. Noemi, you are an amazing housekeeper, wife, mother, friend who enjoys the art of housekeeping and yes it is an art you use your creativity to enhance your home and to make the best of your skills as a cook and your pantry is so efficient and it is appealing also and I’m sure it is convenient but your methods of the way you cook the way you clean or so inspirational whether they inspire a young person or an older person, in fact I have adapted your method of using jars within my home to store food and other items within my home and I have saved so much money, Your sense of humor and your sweet spirit towards your family and to others especially on this channel makes everyone want to come back and view your videos and I know that is why you are so successful but the main thing is that you have a love of your home and family and it shows each time you post a video your home is lived in yet you enjoy having a tidy clean home that is suitable for the needs of your family And I am sure that it makes them very happy. As always, you don’t disappoint with your content! My mother was my role model for a clean and INVITING home where it always smelled fresh and you could sit anywhere in the house without worrying if you are messing up the formal living room (I preferred the formal living room because there was no tv and I loved to read in the quietness of that room, as did my mother) or digging into the fridge. Like mom, I keep a clean home, prep meals ahead of time and maintain the laundry, folding it as soon as it comes out of the dryer or when it is dry on the drying rack, and all this as a full time Respiratory Therapist- and yes, we are empty nesters, but this routine of homemaking actually made it easier when the children were still at home because the weekends weren’t only about doing a hurry up and clean so we can enjoy it. By keeping up with my homemaking (and all of us in the family participated) daily, the weekends were truly for enjoying m.

I remember watching first time a video from Noemi. I was waiting for the moment when she picks up her bag to go to work and it never happened. That was the moment when I recognized that she is staying at home and that her life is different to mine. I worked 40 hours in a week and had a child (5 years old). That was about three years ago. I still love watching Noemi, get inputs but I said goodbye to perfection for myself. I try my best but I also love to chill out and have quality time with friends and family. So, my house is sometimes a mess and food is mostly self made but once a week it’s time for something fast and easy 😉

The repetitive nature of homemaking tasks was very hard for me to adjust to when I started. Now I find comfort in tasks that I’ve done hundreds of times. With children grown, there is way less wiping down and putting away so that helps too. Creating a home for my husband and I to share is the goal now. You are very wise about finding the why. It was a bit bumpy after the boys left while I found my new why. I’m sure I’ll have to adjust every so often. Thank you for creating this haven for all of us.
@btsarmyforever38162 жыл бұрын
The best way to avoid the feeling of repetition is to switch up the tasks. And to go out frequently on walks and picnics in parks. Staying at home all day can make anything feel repetitive. Cooking different cuisines can all change it up. We do movie night every friday at home. This month cause of halloween we did a horror fest. I live with my mom and dad. Not married. I am an adult and we still have this routine. My mom taught me the joys of homemaking. Unless a house needs two incomes or the lady is very passionate about her job, homemaking is better. Ofc it is rewarding only when the family appreciates it. You kids have grown up and left. You can still find joy in a new way. Perhaps art projects can help.

@@btsarmyforever3816 the repetition stopped bothering me years ago but thank you for being kind enough to offer suggestions. I didn’t go to work until my last child was in college. I think there is value in both and each woman has to balance that in her own life.

Stuffed cabbage - looks very much like our romanian "sarmale", the same for the fermented pickles. A lot of admiration for your wisdom.

I want you to break that plastic tab on your screen. I agree with your frustration. I don’t know if you have those paint can opener‘s as we do in the USA. But I always keep one With window cleaning equipment. It gets down in pulling up the screen to pop it out fast and easy. Lovely video. The pleasure of daily living caring for a family came across beautifully

Homemakers make the house not just a home but a sanctuary that gives birth to many memories that last a lifetime. It takes a lot of sacrifices and effort, and sometimes it gets so sad and painful to hear from other people, especially from another woman, that a housewife is nothing but dependent on her husband for financial support.

I’m a homemaker and I like to think of it like this: if I ever went “on strike”, imagine all the paid positions that would have to be filled to take my place. Chef, personal shopper, event coordinator, house cleaner, tutor, counselor, etc! Therefore, yes, we may depend on our husbands financially, but in a way they depend on us financially too! Who has money to hire all those people? It’s a source of pride and joy to wear all those hats for the people I love!

We’ve moved recently, and I’m catching up on KZbin videos I enjoy.😊 You are an inspiration! We have similar screens and I too have broken off a few of the plastic tabs. When the screen was out I noticed at the opposite end from the plastic tabs, there were 2 metal pieces that were springy. I found that if I pushed the frame at the end (where the metal pieces are) towards the other window, it compresses the metal pieces. And I wouldn’t have to pull very hard on the plastic tab to get the screen out. I haven’t pulled a tab off since. 😊 I’m not sure I’m explaining this very well.

Im a career woman. Props to you homemaker types. I have to deal with long commutes to the office, working with difficult colleagues, stressful deadlines and constant computer work. But I love the independence my money gives me. I travel, look 28 at 38, have a stylish home and im always going to restaurants with my lovely friends. Pros and cons on both sides. Sadly I don't believe in marriage because I was hit on by countless married men in my 20s so I just don't trust men enough to let them control my life. Do you ladies know where your husbands are right now?

I don't think that is the point here. I am sorry to hear of of your experiences. Kudos to you for your career and life journey.
