Last big Scania I drove was the 164-480..the new S series looks an absolute dream of a truck. Once you drive Scania..you don;t really like anything else - Spoiled for life!! Great review regards from UK

Every feature, except for the graval and trailer suspension lower/raise has been featured in MAN TGX for years, it amaze me that it took scania 40 years to get all mirrors electrical controled. Thanks for the video but i am MAN man (haha) for sure.

The rain comes in the side windows when they are only open 5mm! Those switches won't last long! The Bluetooth "Handsfree" disconnects from the phone arbitrarily. The Infotainment system frequently "freezes". No "Hard reset" is available, requiring a fuse removal (151) to reset. In the dark it is difficult to find the cab interior light switch. It does not illuminate when you have entered the cab. Let the handbrake off and sometimes the front axle brakes don't release. Nothing new, the Gen 3 did the same at times. When it's raining, open the door and you get wet from rain off the cab.Interior panels a bit poor fitting. This however is a superb improvement from the previous edition, comfort like driving a coach.

It's automatic you can paddle shift in manual but it will automatically select the starting Gear unless you set it to start in a Pacific Gear

@@TellurideS13 Nice try, but no cigar. Every truck should have airbags as standard in this day and age, no matter how 'safe' they are perceived to be. This Scania is a lot safer than any US truck though - it has a cab that is built to extremely high Swedish safety standards, while as far as I know..US trucks are still not safety tested in any way. You are free to correct me if I'm wrong though.
