+Tukanja Those are pressure adjusting shims. You can buy them as a kit. They vary in sizes. Take note that for this type takes shims with holes in the middle (fuel passage) also make sure to put in the same size or lower. Otherwise it will get stuck inside.

Hola amigo como estas. Te consulto? Limpie los picos de mí camioneta lleve igual al del vídeo. Estaba re tapado es 2004 y debe que nunca lo limpiaron. Ise las pruebas y rosia los cuatro rosia bien solo que no arranca más la camioneta. Un error que vi q mí amigo realiso que puso el pico del compresor con gasoil donde va instalado los pico y le dio soplete para limpiar, capas le abra apagado. Que me desido Aguardo tu respuesta saludos de antemano y gracias

I wouldn't mix those containers up if I was you. I suspect the 2D barcode could contain data specific to the individual part used for calibration purposes. Source: EOL test system programmer for the past 7 years.

that 2D code is just the traceability code used in the manufacturing process as a legal requirement for each product. If it is a malfunctioning part then the manufacturer would know when and where that part was built and can take the required action in order not to have that problem again. the 2D code is to be present on each part that goes into an assembly.

Te ahí una consulta..tengo un Volvo NL 12 y son muy similares los inyectores..bueno hice Bomba y inyectores nuevos con repuesto originales y en frío el camión fuma una locura después en calienta baja pero no mucho.. quisiera saber tu opinión..muchas gracias

#Tukanja @Chris You might be referring to common rail injectors. These are ordinary nozzles. Nozzle and body are fitted in the factory. So they shouldn't be mixed up. @webslinger2011 I could have tried to get all of this info from about 10 various sites, it is nice to have conveniently found all offered in this one video.

What is the purpose of intermediate piece?

It keeps the nozzle from moving when you tighten it.

Every time the needle moves up and down it hits the intermediate piece and makes a step on it. Amount of fuel during injection directly proportional to the amount of needle lift, if there is step on intermediate pice that means more lift thus more fuel going into the cylinders thus less fuel efficiency and improper combustion. One more thing injectors where intermediate pieces aren’t there the step may form on the injector’s main body and needs replacement. It’s cheaper to renew a intermediate piece than a injector body.

My 2014 Duramax Fuel Injector Pump went out. Was told there was metal in the injector. Can they be cleaned out or do I have no other choice but replace them. Dealership price was $9,000 for complete job.

It's better to change everything. Have the fuel tank cleaned and the fuel lines flushed as well. Metal may have come from the pump.

Thnks for your video. I'd like to know about materials. Do you know what kind of material we can find inside of this type of inyector? I suppose Iron alloy, but I don't know if nickel alloy is posible to find. My question is why I want to use this mechanical inyector with al specific water solution, and it's posible that mixing beetwen my solution and this material can generates hydrogen (dangerous for me). In fact, I want to avoid aluminum, tin and zinc. Thanks again and best regards. PD: sorry for my english, I'm not a speaker!

I haven't encountered any injector that would use nickel. If you're using an ultrasonic cleaner with an alkali solution, place it outside. I spend about 15~30 mins soaking metal components. Except for aluminum.

I'd try to replace the spacer or use some lapping compound between the spacer and the nozzle body then check for leaks. Check if there's some damage or wear on the spacer.
