i wonder how this affects the engine, truck engines are normally recommended to be run warm for optimal efficiency and durability, here you see that it only sporadically starts it and the engine sounds cold and grumpy actually

Why the motor sounds like a V8 (to me anyway)? , maybe it's possible from the low rumbling noise of diesel inline-5? modern V8 diesel should have 500-800HP range so I thought it would be lower than 6 cylinder if you only have 360 horses

You states that the truck can go for 5-8km on electric mode. Are you actually meaning 50-80km? Scania says the truck can go 60km on the 90kwh battery.

Look at the dashboard, if you take the percentage and estimated range left it should be around 8km at 100%. This seems to be an old version of the truck. I found an old scania page where it states that nearly 10km are possible, I think this page is from 2018. There it states it has 50kW and 250NM electric boost. Blue arrows on the dashboard mean good regenerative breaking, yellow means the the driver is braking too sharp and it cant regenerate all the energy.

this is a FHEV and not PHEV . So way smaller battery. The FHEV had 15kwh battery and nownhas 30kwh. While PHEV had 90kwh

Hybrid means it has both electric motor (+batteries) and diesel engine and can fully switch between the two, it charges while braking or when driving with diesel
