Well, here in Brazil, Volvo is the "Gross" truck than Scania, Daf, Mercedes, Man etc. Because here, there are a lot of bad roads that only Volvo can handle, Scania breaks cardan very easily

For me, the sound of that v8 that scania has on the R model, just hits that spot. I have another video idea. Test on these same trucks how good the 6 speed transmission is. I personally use a 6 speed with the scania r 730 and it pulls like a train

@@maxedoutnoob69 I also think that it depends on how you take the hills. The way I do it is by approacing the hill and immediately drop a gear to get revs up and accelerate to keep my momentum and then the turbo kicks in and then just like that I'm through 😉

Its nice to see that but in the end its the personal taste that matters. I like the Cars of Volvo and the Trucks too. Beautiful interior and exterior. Even if others are better there wouldnt find a way in my own Company. Volvo does his job and this pretty nice. Even when i liked MAN and Mercedes too there would be no other first choice then the Volvo.

Same with the driveline revision the fh 500 has the ishift dual clutch and it is the best transmission

Well in trucking, i don't need fast speed. i'm activate the speed limiter on the game, since i want recreate actual real life/real world situation and conditions. All i can say is for cruising around at motorway speed, Scania's V8 do it much much better, the power band comes very low in the rpm, so i can use lower ratio diff and driving around 80 kph only at 950-1000 rpm range. The bonus is, because the power band comes very low in the rpm, it pull weight from standstill easily. For Volvo, my only favourite engine is D13K460TC and D13K500TC, it also give same feeling as Scania's V8 (power band comes very low in the rpm range), but a bit lacking extra power for hill climbing. Now i'm using 580 HP 3000 NM DC16 engine, its enough for me, and very good at fuel consumption as well. Avaraging 9.4 mpg at last 11,000 kms of journey with varied cargo weight.

In my country, Perú, Scania and Volvo trucks are the most used (other brands like MB, Daf, Renault, are used). We have roads very hard to drive and our geography is complicated, you drive in coast an then drive in highlands. Bus and transport passengers long distance have engine and transmission Volvo and Scania too with chassis MAN, Mercedes Benz, Irizar, etc.

I like the new actros for being the best bank for the buck in the start of the game , u get a great engine and a full cab truck , but my personal preference is r730 feels bulletproof and is great to have in anh fleet , the volvo feels too soft for me .😊

I’m curious about the power & torque of these trucks. When I drive with the most powerful it doesn’t really feel like it makes much difference when driving with trailer. I had Renault T with the most powerful engine choice & it seemed to drive much nicer than actros with 60 more BHP

The older trucks still use the default torque curves that have stuck around since the 18 WoS games, the newer trucks have defined torque curves

@@YouVidTuber that really depends on a lot of factors, first one is dependent on how old the truck is cause older trucks still use an older torque curve the second most important factor is gearbox, the amount of gears and more importantly the gear rations play a huge factor

The more powerful trucks are faster when you install an automatic transmission with less gears, like the 6 speed. Installing too many gears helps to pull more weight but makes your truck slower. So if you already have a very powerful truck like Volvo 750 or Scania 730, no need for many gears. A Volvo 750 with 6 speed transmission pulling a 4 ton cargo is noticeably faster than a 500HP with a 6 speed pulling the same exact cargo.

Nice video, you can't really do the top speed comparasion.. The volvo's engine is limited to 2250-2300 rpm in this game, which the scania's engine is limited to 2500 😃 Good job anyways!

Well .. i did a top speed of +180kmh in ets 2 1.35.x driving the first volvo model with 750hp engine and the gearbox with 12speeds and gear ratio 11.7

@@MilanTrucker Well there's no difference between new FH and FH16 Classic. Basically everything is the same,same engine,transmission,literally everything. But FH16's look,both interior and exterior are,for me, better looking than new FH. It just looks too futuristic,the new FH. I also like very much the FH12, so I see that old timer-ish look in the FH16 so much and that's why it is my favorite. 🙈

My opinion doesn't count, I'm a Volvo fan XD. In fact, When I began ETS2, I took a Vaillant truck. With the name of my favorite comics pilot, I had no choice. Then... Vaillant turn to Volvo. I felt a bit disappointed, but I continue to rac... a drive with Volvo. Like in ATS, for me it Kenworth forever. The truck in the crédits of a science broadcast in the 90's called "C'est pas sorcier". Very french choices indeed.
