I love the sound of Swedish Heavy Metal. Nice video, thanks. Only truck engines here in N.America that sound similar are Mack V8(998cid) and Cat 3408(18Liter) The Detroit 8v92 has a beautiful sound too. I wish we had Scania here in Canada

The hottest turbodiesel sounds [unmuffled] seems to come from Scania's throaty sounding v8's in Europe. Iveco's v8 big-rig turbo diesels would be next; then comes the Mercedes-Benz v8 tubodiesels. When I last checked, the only turbodiesels we have left over, in the U.S., are the PowerStroke 7.3, Duramaxes, CAT 3208Ts, MACK Whispering Giant v8s, and the Detroit Diesel 8.2-liter turbo v8s. Except for the 6.0 PowerStroke/VT365 engines still being used, I miss the big rig v8 turbo sounds stateside.
