I am very impressed with this KingKorg Modeling Synth. I remember the very first board I got back in the ealy 80's was the Korg Multitimbral synth. I loved it! Glad that this feel is back along with all the other great Korg Products.

What I don't get is why todays synths do not have AES/EBU XLR output which bypasses the DA stage. I mean, many of us are using this for production so we need the sound in our DAW. We use high level ADDA converters. Now, the synth converts its digitally generated sound to the analogue domain which is then again converted to digital. Isn't it obvious to add AES/EBU which allows to capture the digital signal before the DA stage in the synth?

I like the concept of this synth. Interesting demo and great modern playing! Thank you.

He plays the same tunes on the KK on every retail site its boring now, would be nice to see him really open up the KK differently other than playing the same rubbish. Don't get me wrong the KK is a great piece of kit and worth owning for sure.

Nice synth guys! I've been a korgy since Ole' Polysix. Just a little input, the camera angle you've used for this demo is terrible, looking over and backwards at the synth. Perhaps looking adjusting this in future. :-)

save your time its the same as the other king korg demos.

So why is the Alesis mixer and the monotribe better readable then what's important on the KingKorg. Camera position is way off for this demo :'(

Im thinking to get one for live Gigs , How is the Sound quality played Live , one thing makes me worried, is ; almost everything sounds good one KZbin , but the real thing might differ , similar situation happened to me in the past with one of the Kurzweil boards , I loved it when I listened to the Sound demos on YT , bought it on Ebay , and sold it a few weeks later , What Do you guys think , I need something like All-Rounder which you can take to the stage and Play different genres , to include bread and Butter Sounds such as Pianos, E Pianos, Nice strings , Brass , and Creamy smooth Leads ..This, or KORG TR ?? Please share your experience , anyone ?????
@stryker199911 жыл бұрын
It would have been nice when you showed off the filters, if we had heard the actual filters! Opening them up mostly wide isn't letting us hewar much, except as I expected, that obnoxious 303 model. Oh well, I've heard proper examples on other KZbins.

It's really a synth for Live musicians i guess. Cause sound wise a good VST like "Diva" can keep up easily.

Why would they not put after touch on this beast? Yes they are giving you a lot but, really
@SPAZZOID1007 жыл бұрын
Charles Lewis aftertouch is never essential.
@factckzone75336 жыл бұрын
I agree. I always turn off after touch anyway. My Deepmind 12 has too many patches with it and it is really annoying when you don't need it.

Basically, if it ain't analog, you may as well just have a midi controller as I understand it...the question is, where do you get a midi controller with as many controls as I want? I may as well just get a system 8 since no other modern synth has that amount of hands on control with zero menu bullshit
@Paul_Y_T6 жыл бұрын
the studiologic sledge does - and that has aftertouch...
@jacobbrown16905 жыл бұрын
i use a korg m3 as a midi controller. i own a king korg also. best virtual analog keyboatd out there. Amazing filters.
@annother33502 жыл бұрын
You could say anything digital from the DX7 onwards is a VST in a box but it simply isnt the case. I have a few outboard synths that just leap out of the speakers compared to any VST.

@Andybaby11 жыл бұрын
Exactly, they should have changed the spelling to 'Mogue' if the pronunciation was such a big deal.
@samsamba0811 жыл бұрын
I'm beginning to like this guy, with his current pop hit sound demo chops. The problem with KK is that it doesn't really sound that analog. As soon as he plugged in that Monotribe (which is an actual analog), you can notice the difference. And once again, everything is drenched in reverb/delay... Also, wish it hit the "under $1000" price point.
@SPAZZOID1007 жыл бұрын
samsamba08 it sounds analog enough.

Oh dear. He called it "Moog" instead of the proper "Mogue". I know I'm a pedant but if you sell synths, really....You wouldn't be here without mr Moog, sorry "Mogue".
@Drewbyy11 жыл бұрын
sort of not analogue sounding, maybe they should just stick to proper digital for digital sounds or proper analogue using actual analogue
@miguelrejas503410 жыл бұрын
Not as "King" as the legendary Yamaha ANx1 ;)
@MrLawrence00718 жыл бұрын
No offense, the AN1X sucked big time. Sound quality was horrible.
@SPAZZOID1007 жыл бұрын
miguel rejas sounds better. Has a better interface too.
@snuppssynthchannel6 жыл бұрын
Lawrence O The An1x is a great virtual analog. The interface is good. The sound is the best. But the King Korg is great as well. Both are the two greatest sounding virtual analogs of all time in my opinion.
@jacobbrown16905 жыл бұрын
king korg is way better.....the filters are amazing...no stepping , no anti aliasing, no zipper noise.....tech has come a long way
@Rasmus960911 жыл бұрын
Most europeans call it Moog not "Mogue". I personally have no interest in the pronunciation of Moog, and in the end it doesen't really matter
@Fireblaze1511 жыл бұрын
1300 bucks and it comes with a small ass fucking screen.... (facepalm)
@joshsevers11 жыл бұрын
lol Really? You sure about that? Try looking it up in a pronunciation guide. Accent notwithstanding, it's like pronouncing "centre" as "sent-tree."
@LesFarrington10 жыл бұрын
yeah its a MOGUE!!! not MOOG...i hear people say WELL I CALL IT MOOG....well i return that with totally mispronouncing their last names etc.....if Bob "MOGUE" pronounces his name a certain way then THAT IS HOW ITS PRONOUNCED. i got so tired of telling people the drummer for RUSH was Neil "Peert" not PURT. NEIL pronounces it peert so YOU SHOULD TOO. same for MOOOOG.....that is how a COW pronounces it. "Mogue" please. its just the right thing to Do! whats your name .....LOOKIE? you are now.
