Not been for a good couple of years now, put off a bit the last time were were at South Bay and the cliental that was hanging around the Grand Hotel to be honest. Cannot go wrong with the Cinder Track mind, not sure about being frisky on there mind, not with the cold weather pulling in now.... A lot of pubs are allowing motorhomes an overnight park for a small fee, which seems good business to me, as most will pop in for a pint and maybe food too. Turkey, chicken and sheep, I can feel a lovely mixed grill coming on and a lovely coastal walk to get all those calories off too! Loved all the colours in the trees, the cove and waterfall, even better to have it all to yourselves too and what a colourful and wonderful bench with a view, who needs South Bay when you have that! I can feel a lovely mixed grill coming on! 😂 brilliant. yes the Grand Hotel, voted THE worst hotel in the UK, ive often thought about checking myself in for a night as every single KZbinr that covers it gets 100K views. it’s sheltered immigrants next to paying guests, it’s been shut down because of Legionairres disease twice, when it housed one type of migrants there was an attempt to blow it up and half of Scarborough had to be cordoned off, its a great place to stay if you want a KZbin Platinum video! that’s all in the last couple of years by the way! yes its a good model the pubs are offering letting motorhomes park up, a real savvy business prospect. its a lovely little walk that we’ve done a few thousand times and one of our very regular staples. I hope to cover a few in this series showcasing the beauty of Scarborough and further cement part of my channel as “the couple that cover Scarborough”, it will hopefully settle well with the other content I want to put out whilst pandering to the locals that always sigh if I say I’m putting out a holiday video this week! I pretty much get hissed at in the street when they ask “what video is it this week?” 👍

Hey Nick and Jill - you lovely two! Always like your free parking, it's so important to be fair! haha. A wonderful walk filled with such natural beauty and some cheeky gates!! That squeaky one was epic! Loved the forest and the bridge, you can start to see the colours changing and it getting that little bit more autumnal! Those stairs were mental! Morning both, some beautiful places here and the forest was gorgeous, so good that you can park motorhomes there too. You had lovely weather for this and the views were amazing, loved the one looking towards the castle. Hayburn Wyke is gorgeous and the sheep are always so cute. Nice place for a picnic, loved the pebble tower and time lapse😃 the secret cove is lovely and that waterfall so pretty. That was a beautiful 6 mile walk 🚶‍♂️~ Anna❤

thanks Anna, yes this walk certainly has a lot of variety for a minimal amount of effort, the paths are all decent and apart from the climb out from the cove there is nothing too demanding on this walk! we have some special memories of that bench looking towards the Castle, it was one of the last walks I did with my Dad to that bench when we waved to the visiting cruise ship that had Jimmy Saville on it waving back at the shoreline! hope you are having an amazing weekend. ♥️

Only 4 miles away and already in the lovely countryside with nobody around! Oooh I've never seen bathouses before! Once saw the batcave in Hollywood, which wasn't actually a cave, it was a hole! Lovely greenery there and if I'm not mistaken it looks like the first signs of autumn arriving by the looks of those leaves 🧐🍂🍁definitely preferred the gate of the week gate to the squeaky gate from earlier. People sitting on your bench! Do they not know who you are? Beautiful waterfall and what a treat getting the drone footage! Beautiful view of the cove! Have a great weekend guys!

What a super walk this looked with a bit of everything on a glorious day. The mention of cinder track took me back to my school days and running with the athletics club at Sunny Scunny (Scunthorpe) and Spalding ... so much easier than the grassy field we had at school haha This track did look slightly different though haha & more in line with my capabilities these days 😃 The farm looked lovely with the friendly collies a bonus. Loved the sea views & great picnic spot ... super time lapse Wow what a superb vantage point of the bay. . And then another super bench with its own garden ... amazing how dedicated some people are to take such care over that. Well done great walk with loads of variety.

Hi Nick and Jill First of all, apologies for not being able to approach you soon enough to explain our situation. We had no power, no water, no internet, no cell service, no gas, and food shortage, the curfew was set at 7:30 pm as we left the city. Yaya series... Lovely hiking trail along the coastline feeling the sea breeze. The landscape and vegetation are unique comparing the state we are in. I wonder you ca brew a cup of coffee or cocoa or cupa at the destination to enjoy the view for moments. The waterfall is elegant. I cannot wait for next series to come.. Thank you for sharing this peaceful space I needed the most as we are having difficult time.

Great weather for a mooch on the trails around Scarborough. I'm deffo going to have to come run that Cinder Track soon! Looked a very hermit friendly walk but dratted people on the bench. I'd say the alternative for a picnic on the "secret" beach with the waterfall wasn't too bad and the view from above was pretty awesome. And then what do you know you got a bench with a view later on anyway. You can't beat a clear sunny day for a coastal walk 👍

Hi Paul we sure do have a lot of running/hiking trails in our neck of the woods most of which are hermit friendly, that is until we promote them 🤣 Clear sunny days are rare these days but make for much better hiking hence we haven’t done much this year! Hope you are having a nice weekend! 👍❤️

I love hearing about your free parking, but I do like to have a loo nearby when I park up, then I'm happy. But what a beautiful part of Scarborough I would never of thought of visiting before. You found some gorgeous weather and fabulous views too. What a lovely place to stop for a picnic. So rather than a Susan Calman grand day out, that was a GenX grand day out 💜💜

brilliant Gen X grand day out. me and Jill usually take turns having a wee in the bushes whilst the other stands ahead of trail watching for on-comers, if you hear a “Cuckaw!” that means cut your wee short 😂 sadly no free toilets left in Scarborough other than the ones by the Click Tower on South Cliff. rather criminal of the Council when the town has such a heavy footfall. most visitors just go adjacent to the toilet blocks as some kind of protest of the new charges. its not very pleasant and I hope the Council reverse their decision to not provide free toilets for visitors. we did get really lucky with the weather, the same cannot be said of our visit to Lago di Garda though. we fell in love with the place, the weather not so much, we will return though (and quite soon).

bit of a mixed bag in Italy thanks to a lack of sufficient research and terrible weather but we’ve fallen in love with Garda. two foggy Alps conquered (no views) and a failed Dolomite (great views) so not a great success but we have a fantastic feel for the area and how to get it spot on next time. we are planning to return in May when the days will be longer, the adventures be mightier and the journeys shorter! we lived and learned on that one! hope you have a fantastic weekend!

thanks Andy we are blessed to be surrounded by National Park on all our borders. well I always used to think that was a blessing, now I wish they would build a retail park or an airport on the Moors, id get much more use out of that! 😂

Gosh you have some gorgeous countryside in Yorkshire. Great coast line, spectacular views. Maybe they're boarding up the towns to keep the tourists away so you can keep it all to yourselves.
