Reminds me of neighbors we had years ago. Had an old Victorian and part of their Halloween decoration was a scarecrow on the porch swing, which was right next to the door. The kids would walk home from school and walk right by and they got used to seeing the scarecrow on the porch. But for Halloween night, they replaced the scarecrow with themselves. All they needed to do was just twitch a little or turn their head suddenly. I could hear the screams halfway down the block. :D

Sometimes prople know the bushman/statue/any costume is there.... but if the timing is right, the freak outs, and the big laughs are always worth it. You pull it off perfectly. Knowing, not knowing... doesn't matter, everybody gets a big laugh!

We definitely have decorations out and about in certain cities in the US. But a full size scarecrow like this on some hay is fairly obvious in my opinion. It is DEFINITELY harder to surprise people in this suit versus the bush.

Like I said before that that Scarecrow is a good deal. I don't understand why some people can't just take the scare and laugh about it. I know you don't sit around watching other but another bush man from Texas made a fall bush suit with leaves in fall colors. It looks like a pile of fallen fall leaves in a planter. Do the leaves change and fall were your at?

Appreciate the feedback. I've spent quite a bit of time doing this now....and I think you'd be surprised to how oblivious people are to what's around them. When I do subtle moves as you're describing, it tends to get pretty weak reactions. Most of those reactions don't make the final edit because they aren't very entertaining. Don't get me wrong...I'm not saying that technique/style doesn't work...because there are infinite successful styles....I'm just playing the most efficient game based on my experiences of doing this.
