There are all kinds of tools to make the rock breaking easier, especially in sedimentary rock. A little cordless sds and some plug and feathers to break away the layers would save a ton to work with the pinch bar.

Sedimentary sand and mudstone by the looks of it .. Think I'd have had at bare minimum a battery SDS+2 chisel/hammer/drill to mess with the larger stuff, unless you have air available .. ;)

Probably rules against it that I'm too lazy to look into, but maybe a nifty electric hammer drill on that hard rock bit?

I got an honest question, with all the hoopla about no women riders, are there any women who can actually throw down the kind of runs these guys are? I know in BMX they hype up the girls but then they throw a wonky barspin and everyone acts like it was some crazy backflip combo.
@stormsandfishing5448 Жыл бұрын
There’s currently a handful of female riders that will do the small-medium jumps and drops on these runs, generally following a guy at least for the first time to show them the speed - and they would struggle to link all the features in one continuous run. I think that the largest drops may be physically impossible for the women, their lesser muscle and bone strength may not cope with the extreme impact of even a successful landing. As for tricks, there’s probably more guys that have landed a double backflip than women that have done a single. If you want to see women free riding watch red bull formation or dark fest.
@shalakabooyaka1480 Жыл бұрын
@@stormsandfishing5448 Oh, It's not that I want to specifically watch women, I just don't follow the sport close enough to know if there is even a reason for the complaints. I didn't think it was a mens only event, I just figured it was the best riders in the world, and they happened to be guys. I do follow a few women riders, but they are endurance and gravel racers. Completely different cycling disciplines.
@bhew7409 Жыл бұрын
Women did well at Darkfest this year and Rampage saw women hit everything so yeah, and the fact you can make your own lines is better suited to women imo. In womens DH its all on a course thats hard for men so the women are slower but they make it down. The last race saw the 1st placed women 40 secs behind the 1st placed man who did the track in 4 mins. Womens BMX has gotten much better in the last 10 years, it used to be them pretty much just riding around lol. Now you have Hannah Roberts doing flairs, flip bars, tailwhips and stuff so thats been cool to see.
@SavageAudits Жыл бұрын
Women in BMX racing have represented well. People that want to see lots of footage of women shredders, should watch BMX racing.
@123456781234100 Жыл бұрын
I think an important point is: you need to give people the space to progress. As we see in the bmx example, it gets more and more exciting! And in DH watching Rachel Atherton or Vali Höll is nuts. So yeah, most women wouldn't ride the same lines and do the same tricks,but it still would be amazing to watch! Could inspire young girls to become freeriders, right now those are all male rolemodels. If we did this "sport of only the best of the best" thing with every sport, think about how boring it would be. Next year!:)
