I'm about to be 48 in January. I'm from the Southside of The H. Scarface became a geto boy. After j Prince heard the original Scarface song which was first released on shortstop records and he was known as DJ Action. Which was re- released once he became a geto boy. And the way that came about was the fact that J Prince was looking for a new sound because he felt like their sound was too reminiscent of the east coast rappers. Back the Js bro was the front man for the geto boys his rap name was RapALot, that is where the name rap-a-lot records came from. Before Scarface became a geto boy he had to beat Js bro in a battle and that's how he became a geto boy. He's my second favorite rapper of all time behind k rino and 3 ice cube number 4 would be psk-13. To be on my top five you have to have written and performed and produced your own music not all of it of course.. my top five rappers are usually rappers favorite rapper or just completely slept on. Before their time

Shout out to all the geto boys especially the original ones. Bushwick the Human Jukebox, Ready Red. I'll never forget when I first heard , like an assassin. He also had kidney failure. Thats why COVID almost killed him. He pulled through Covid and his son donated a kidney. Glad to have this man still here to grace us with good music

Yes I remember that! He was on Willie D Live he was battling COVID and had kidney issues that put him on dialysis, he didn't look good! I didn't think he was going to make it! So glad he did!!

Yo, the real old G legit rappers definitely name him as one of the GOATs. He may not have gotten a lot of press among the younger folks, but I think this Tiny Desk is gonna help educate them. Cause the storytelling needs to come back. Props from an old-head herself (he & I are the same age!! 🤣)

I appreciate this review so much. I actually seen the original. But what makes me appreciate your style of review you let the video breathe you let the storytelling be what it is. Every now and then you chime in give some understanding and then you let the video breathe. More individual should do their reviews the same way because it’s OK to chime in but many other people just stop the video and talk for two or three minutes Play the video for 30 more seconds talk for two or three minutes the way you’re doing it it’s an excellent way of doing it you let the video breathe do what it is you chime in with your two cents and with some friendly facts and you let the video do what it do keep being you
