i’m from South Carolina and i’ve personally been in the asylum Sam spoke about in this video. the place is super creepy and gives the weirdest vibe. the police like to send cadaver dogs into this asylum still because it’s known to get some gang affiliated murders/assaults. i’ve found bloody patches in the carpets in some hallways leading into patient rooms. i’ve found old polaroids. i’ve found influenza-information sheets from 1996. it’s a beautiful abandoned spot, but this place will literally give you nightmares.

10:18 ... RIP to the Babcock building and main part to my cities historic 1800s Asylum that caught fire today 😔 (Columbia SC). The cupola collapsed and the fire led to millions of dollars worth of damage. 6 people were just arrested as suspects for the start of the fire. -Also, I’ve visited there years ago before security started buckling down more. And when my friends and I started to go to the basement we heard a girls scream, so us being the 15-17 yr olds that we were, left right after 😅
