I think the MI plague theory only makes sense (thanks for this, SCB!) if the doors *can't* travel through time: in both MI and MU, they have a calendar similar to ours. If you calibrate it so MI is supposed to happen around the time it comes out (i.e. 1999), the company was founded around the time of the plague, thus explaining the "nothing's worse than humans" idea! They could have just thought it was still true for over 600 years afterward, and not noticed the whole time that screams were only 10% the power of laughs.

I would like to add on to the Nemo theory: Barracudas do not eat clownfish but you know what does? OTHER CLOWNFISH. The female clownfish is the larger and dominant one and when stressed can eat her young (both fry and eggs) so maybe Marlen watched his mate eat their clutch of eggs and could not do anything to stop her. Seeing the traumatic scene of his wife literally kill their children caused him to go crazy and imagine that one egg survived. Another fact that supports this theory is that when the male is left without his mate they transition to female to "continue the family bloodline" with the kids (ew). So since he never did means that there wasn't anyone left to do so meaning that Nemo never existed. 😁

@zshocksoda11284 жыл бұрын
If its true, this might be the explanation for why Toy Story 2 looked at Woody's stitching malfunction. We saw in the movie how Woody's shoulder joint got ripped, preventing him from using his arm. The disease Polio is known to cause symptoms of muscle paralysis. So the whole arc might have been paralleling his ill father with Woody, a toy doll that Andy likens to the father.

@cosmo12223 жыл бұрын
No
@Wendy_O._Koopa2 жыл бұрын
The fuck is wrong with you? Clownfish aren't anywhere near extinction, Nemo can marry a Clownfish from a different family. And if Marlin changes his gender, then maybe she and Dory can get together, not to "repopulate" just to piss off China or something, IDK. Or they could remain platonic friends, I'm easy; not everything needs to revolve around fictional characters slamming their genitals together. Though, in the case of fish, I don't know if they actually _have_ any... doesn't the girl just lay eggs and then the guy comes by and drops his load on them? I've gone off track again...

In the Incredibles 2, Jack Jack disappears for about two minutes and went to Monsters Inc. Do you know how Boo caused a lot of chaos in Harry Housins and scares everyone out of the building, that wasn’t Boo at all who caused all the chaos later, it was Jack Jack. The yellow monster says “ I tried to get it of me then it picked me up with its mind powers and shook me like a dog,” that was Jack Jack who did that. Then another monster said “It shot my car with its labor vision,” that was also Jack Jack. Also, the scream cans where they put the scream in, the face on it is Jack Jack crying of scream.

He didn't die from polio. Andy turned 6 in 1995 so he would have been born in 1989, and the last polio outbreak in the u.s. was 10 years before that in 1979

#2 Got me thinking about something else. In the movie, most of the video game characters are shown to know that their roles are separate from their 'normal' lives, and go about their games like actors for the arcade patrons. A lot of them don't even encompass their role when interacting with other games' characters (Zangief's line "You are bad guy, but this does not mean you're bad guy.") unless it's for business such as Tapper. Calhoun is a strong outlier when you think of it in this light, as she's constantly embodying the tough soldier persona that she has in her game, even being very hard on characters completely unrelated to her game. In addition, she takes her role very seriously. Even after learning of Turbo's errors getting him essentially killed and trapped in a broken game for eternity (supposedly), she disregarded the danger to herself and pursued the Cybug into Sugar Rush with Felix. This brings me to Sugar Rush itself. Due to King Candy's meddling with the game's code, the rest of the characters forgot Vanelope completely, and treated her like a worthless hobo. Sour Bill was seemingly the only one aware of her history, and while he must've known she was someone important, he was unable to connect the dots and figure out just who and why. Though he may have been able to do an investigation, the threat of punishment likely kept him from doing so. The characters of Sugar Rush are essentially 'controlled' by their memories as well as their unrelated programming (even if they didn't remember Vanelope, they're unceasingly and needlessly cruel to her, with not one of them trying to befriend or explain her situation kindly, all the while treating her more like a thing than a person). Now, back to Calhoun. You have to realize that unless the Hero's Duty game devs created bonus content of Calhoun's past, her fiance never really existed. When Ralph remarks on her tough personality, another soldier tells him something along the lines of, "It's not her fault, she's programmed with the most tragic backstory ever." the key word being 'programmed'. While most characters are fully aware that they're game characters, and they run on code, Calhoun seems to be completely unaware of this concept, fully believing that her fiance existed and showing obvious stress and PTSD over her incident. She's not the only one to show this condition either, as one of her soldiers is shown to be having a mental break-down due to the stress of his game. Now, this could just be because they're from a newly plugged in game (confirmed by Felix and Ralph), similarly to how Buzz in Toy Story was unaware that he was a toy; BUT It's entirely possible that the characters of Hero's Duty as well as other games are programmed to be unaware of their nature after the devs figured out that they are self-aware. There's a rule among all characters in the the gaming world that you are to preform your role and not abandon your post or show deviancy during arcade hours, but who's to say every character in every arcade follows it? The characters (at least the human-like ones) are shown to be fully sapient with the capability of being self-aware of their situations, but this awareness has the capability to be 'turned off'. It's entirely possible that the newer games have characters whose entire lives are their games, wreaking havoc on their minds until they're nothing more than shells of people. It goes from simple ignorance, to mental destruction that reduces them to nothing but their role. In their world, it may be impossible to program a character without this intelligent mentality, leaving devs to turn their characters into mind slaves to the game. It may also be impossible to lock the characters into the game without botching their code causing them to have other glitches that hinder gameplay. After all, why would you waste time and resources programming memories that are unnecessary to present aspects of the game into your characters when you could just write lore for the players outside of the game unless there was a solid purpose? Calhoun doesn't seem to be at all the type of person who would share her history, which suggests that the guests as well as the priest are programmed with the memory of the wedding and incident as well. Now, we're shown at the end that the church and priest do exist within the Hero's Duty game, which could suggest the fiance's existence as well, but what did Sonic say on the screens in the powerstrip? "If you die outside your game, you don't regenerate.", what happened to Felix at his party in the beginning of the movie? He died and regenerated. Shouldn't Calhoun's fiance have regenerated if he were an actual character who died within his own game? He was a soldier who would have been relevant to gameplay after all. Now, this begs the question, why would the priest and church even exist in the first place? They could be bonus levels or unused content (I cite the scenes you can find in Overwatch that match up with the video shorts to the degree of even seeing the arrow that Hanzo shot at Genji), but they could also have a secondary or sole purpose of further affirming control that the artificial memories give, strengthening the pre-programmed personalities of the characters and giving them a traumatic lesson that may be stronger than direct programming (ex: You 'saw' someone be brutally killed by falling into acid. That memory would be stronger than the simple 'instinct' to not walk into it). The soldiers know not to get on Calhoun's bad side due to both her short fuse personality, as well as the 'trauma' she 'suffered'. That would further pressure them to obey her and the game's script unquestioningly, not bringing up the past, not showing deviancy, further maintaining the illusion of the Hero's Duty world. Now, the second movie likely wasn't on the producer's minds at the time of writing the first, but let's explore it anyway. Do the humans know that the video game characters can access the internet and all other websites? Would their programming of 'instincts', roles, and artificial memories be to further deter them from venturing there? Ralph and Vanelope accessed supposedly secure sites and were able to manipulate viruses rather easily, so what is intended to keep characters from doing so? Surely games that are reliant or capable of accessing the internet are safeguarded, but are modern games in their world that aren't meant to access the internet treated with even more mental control over their characters? Was the prospect of deviancy less of an issue before mainstream use of internet connectivity and usage, leading to the now outdated urge for characters to leave their game for any reason. Calhoun didn't seem like the type to leave her game unless it was for a very good reason (the escape of the Cybug) until she spent enough time with Felix and further understood the world of her arcade, but some other soldiers were willing to leave for leisure or a short-term escape of the stress. In a closed environment where arcade game characters couldn't access the internet, a level of control beyond what they have may not be worth the effort to code. After all, just throw out or reset the game back to its original programming if they characters grow to have a strong enough free will. This also brings us to the escaped characters that are living in the powerstrip homeless. They can access other games, but they didn't until a 'bonus level' was made for them in Ralph's game. The ones of these characters remembered Turbo's incident, but what about other arcades? What if they could be removed by simply turning off the powerstrip? What happens during a power outage if it's essentially like unplugging all the games? Food for thought, eh?

It actually isn’t stupid, it was confirmed by Disney that Woody was originally his dad’s toy, but when his dad died (of cancer if I remember correctly.), he gave his toy to his son. There is a whole lot more to the story, but that is pretty much the gist of it, but I would totally look it up if you wanted to.

Proof that theory No6 (the Nemo theory) is actually wrong: At the end of the movie, when Dory gets trapped inside a fishing net along with various other fish, Nemo tells her to swim down to prevent the net from ascending, so that she can escape. Nemo learned that trick from the aquarium he was inside and Marlin wouldn't have known it, because he wasn't there. So, Nemo is actually real

If that last theory was true I would think that the human that Randell represented was her kidnapper and the humans that Mike and Sully represented were saving Boo and trying to reconnect with her family.
