That piano was one of a kind almost literally. There were very few that had been verified when I was a young child and that was at least 50 years ago. Pretty positive that it was pre-prohibition. Not in great shape but restored, it could buy someone a very nice, early retirement.

I can't tell you how many people I've heard mistakenly say it like that. Most Americans shorten words down when we're talking.. I think I've heard it called "lazy English". Had that pill had "asprin" written on it, you probably would have recognized it right away.. that's how most of us say it, and spell it after all 😉. Asprin is actually spelled aspirin and is supposed to have that extra "small I" pronunciation in the middle of the word, but most people have shortened it down using our "lazy English" ways 😉.
