Sooo... fun fact, this is actually quite possible, especially with aircraft-fired rockets. They have a distance-based arming trigger, so they will not arm the explosives until the rocket has traveled a certain distance from the launch point, this is to prevent the rocket from hitting, say, a wall, and blowing up the person/aircraft that launched it. There were a few documented cases in Vietnam where an NVA soldier would be impaled by American rockets that didn't arm, and would just go on running or fighting like nothing happened. Would still arm if they traveled far enough while in the guy, and then explode if jostled too much, but still 100% plausible
