Professor AdBv has a magnificent command of the keyboard. Flamboyant at times; subtle at others. Oh, the flash and sparkle are tremendous in their beauty, articulation and expert musicianship! A flash lightning storm, passing into an other-worldly calm. He has a superb vocabulary of pedalling, the expanse of which I've never heard. I am made clean by his blessing. Many thanks, David. Shalom.

Does the first section of the A section is an introduction? Before the allegro part.

I don’t think so… some of Scarlatti’s sonatas are just structured like this.

No because it is repeated, so included into the exposition and then it is a complete part of the development

@@CarapuceShiney is it then more similar to a classical sonata? (haydn/mozart) exept here there is no bridge between A part and B?

@@YonatanSetbon its typical for Scarlatti sonatas

@@YonatanSetbon Scarlatti follows a sonata form logic where the first part exposes two contrasting themes, and the second part develop the idea and must concludes on the home scale. Each part is repeated, some pianists don't repeat second part tho. But the major difference with sonata form in classical style is that classical sonata form really makes a difference between development and recapitulation, when Scarlatti merge it. Also, first and second part have more or less the same length, but in classical sonata form, the second part is generally bigger, this is why pianists often don't repeat the second part for Haydn's or Mozart's sonatas.
