Another tip worth mentioning is that, even though you can only book each restaurant once for dinner on 4- and 5-night sailings, you can walk up and request a table at any restaurant without a reservation. There might be a wait if there’s any availability but it’s a nice option to have.

You can actually get a fairly good sized suitcase thru the scanners in Miami. We cruise with a "medical bag" containing braces and other orthopedic equipment and are very hesitant to check it. No problem. You are, of course totally right that it must fit thru the scanner...but it isn't a small scanner. If the app goes wonky at your 45 day point, your "first mate" (travel agent) can make your dining reservations thru their portal. You don't have to wait till you can get thru to Sailor Services on the phone! Regardless of the length of the cruise, the number of reservations noted is "in advance." We did a 15 night cruise and had no problem booking reservations even a day ahead at the check in podium for a restaurant. WE couldn't do it on the app, but the crew could make it happen for us.

wow $50 per voyage, thats fantastic. virgin just emailed me and said that ours is $25 per person per day with embarktation day free. we pay so much more in australia than any other country for our cruises

Yes. They do group you outsude. And they enforce boarding times. If you want to board early I suggest trying to purchase the splash of romance package. I have a video all about it. 😀

Tough one. I asked my husband and he said you can use the app on a tablet. But it is a phone app so it’s not as user friendly. I think you could grab the daily activity sheet. And go to sailor services for reservations.

Sailaway is usually at 6 pm so you’ll want a later reservation. After that it really depends on your personal plans. We usually have dinner at 7 and then try to schedule shows around that. If you want to experience most of scarlet night be at the on the rocks bar at 9. Hope that helps 😁

for our December cruise, we have the splash of romance package but cannot get onboard any earlier than anyone else, we have 2pm boarding time. but Virgin told us that we could show customer service that we had bought the package and we would get to go into the priority line at the terminal. but no early boarding for us :( just a quicker process with getting onboard.
