I found the first few chapters to be mind-numbingly uninteresting, with exception to 3 and 4. However, chapters after 7 had been very entertaining thus far. The rather slow pacing of the narrative is definitely showing it's light in these later chapters, contrary to what I had previously thought. I was left estranged at how similar some of these pieces of literature are with some of my past experiences, beliefs, and thoughts. I especially like the dynamic between Chillingworth and Dimmesdale. Their relationship can be described no less than a parasitic relationship, and, admittedly, they very closely mirror the voices that reside in my head. To put in short, I had taken quite the sharp turn in my view of this book, up to this far anyway. Much appreciation as well for these audiobooks, as it helps my brain register information much better, especially with all these fancy words that I can only dream of using.
