Nagi got done dirty. He got subjected to personality rehabilitation, which is a painful process apparently, he got linked to BIAS which he wasn't compatible with meaning he'd die if he used it. He got sent to kill his best friend and used a brain field in the process, and when he overcomes the personality rehabilitation, he dies trying to kill his best friend and without finding out what happened to the girl he loved, Naomi. RIP Nagi Karman, you deserved to be more than just Yuito's plot device.

The worst thing about Nagi.....he is legit a character that can be inserted in the game as companion, "Aerokinises" and his main weapon is shurikens, screams range fighter, but nah lets just make him get brainwashed and then kill him because....eh I don't know.

@@J-leaf That’s why I hated Nagi’s death so much. He was killed off just because he wasn’t serving much purpose. They could’ve easily let him survive and made him a party member or had his death be a major plot point but they did neither. Legit pissed me off rather than make me sad.

Nagi is the boss fight that made me realize how good Clairvoyance + Perfect Dodge counters were. Nagi's multi-hit attacks will melt Sclerokinesis in less than one combo, and the animations last long enough that they can hit you through Teleport. Clairvoyance on the other hand, gives invulnerability on a Perfect Dodge and a guaranteed knockdown on counter, making it the best SAS effect to shut down Nagi's fighting style.

Clairvoyance is overall just fantastic for any boss since you can focus on dodging the first attack they make and burst their ass once they're down

I played Kasane's route first and so never truly respected clairvoyance. Playing through Yutio's route, I learned that a highly bonded clairvoyance can absolutely shred through anything when you know when to execute it and what other power to mix it with.

Yeah I grabbed one of Kasane that way. I would have to play through both routes again to get all of them though. Maybe I'll do that when I replay the game in the future. I just got the platinum last night, and want to end my playthrough on a good note.

@@hts0189 Luckily, there is talks of a possible sequel. The director apparently plans to make a sequel more mature and to explore the effects of the powers have on the characters, kinda how we saw that being played around with Yuito's case.

Nagis death just felt so much more impactful than Naomi’s tbh. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s because we directly killed Nagi while I lost hope for Naomi’s survival from the very beginning.

What I found sad about Nagi's death is that he himself acknowledged that he was going to die achieving absolutely nothing (even though he joined the OSF to be a hero).

It is tragic because all that Nagi could have accomplished and all the good he could have done was stripped from him

Of all my years playing Video Games, Nagi's boss fight was the only other time when i knew you lost even if you won (first one being Xion from KH 358/2). Nagi was one of my personal favorite characters in Scarlet Nexus and on my first play-through i really thought we could save him, but when I heard this song playing, I knew it was the end for him. I teared up during his last words to Yuito. I need to play that game again, will always be in my top 5.

I finished Kasane story first which you don't get to fight Nagi...so playing as Yuito playthrough and finally getting a chance to fight Nagi was a relief even though I knew he was going to die from the previous playthrough.

from a story perspective this reminded me of when dante was forced to kill vergil in DMC1 after mundus corrupted vergil and turned him into nelo angelo after the events of DMC3. Both nagi and vergil are great boss fights in their own ways

I see tiny similarities between Karen and Vergil. Vergil resents dante as he thinks his mother saved dante and left him behind but then he also goes on his whole quest for power for the fact he felt too weak to save her. Karen tries to do almost the same thing to save Alice

@@Kurokami112 Strange, the combat is the area I have almost no issues with. My only criticism would be that there could have been a bit more enemy variety towards the end, not the attacks themselves.

@@TKDBoy1889 My issue with the enemy attacks is that there no indicator of when the attack will actually land, this combined with the incredibly small dodge window makes it incredibly hard to get perfect dodge without clayvoyance Also, enemy psionics have no windup on their attacks, so you have to guess when they'll attack Lastly, enemy attacks in general have no clear audio cue, so getting hit by an enemy off screen feels unfair

We all knew he wasn't compatible with BIAS, but who else felt their heart break when he activated brain field? It was a brutal surprise. Part of me on my first playthrough was naively hoping for a cutscene to stop the fight but the other part of me knew as soon as it activated he was truly gone and all hope was lost... :( Nagi deserved better.

@@yeahimlonely8652 Makes me feel worst for him to be honest. His emotional trauma made him a target and was used as a weapon against his own friends. He just couldn't stay away from the limelight and ended up only experiencing the evil side of being a psionic user.. poor guy.. Makes me wonder if this was all coincidental or they truly knew about Nagi's emotional highs and lows and triggering this sort of thing would set him off the deep end.. despite them missing the target.

I never really felt sad for his death as you dont really learn much about him but with the paid dlc trailer that shows there's gonna new bond episodes nagi is shown in them so I'm excited for that

@@yeahimlonely8652 It was just unfortunate. Him and Naomi were the wrong people to be front line soldiers. It's hard to explain. He wanted to help others and be a star but I personally don't think he was ready for the bad side of being a psonic user and just tunnel visioned the good parts. At least psychologically he wasn't ready. Maybe emotionally too I forgot what his true goal was in joining. He seemed way too naive and happy go lucky like it was going to be a breeze.. his crush, essentially to him, dies, then his brain goes splat trying to kill his best friend. All because he was lost and wanted help (like it was mentioned: snitching on himself). It hurt to watch. Meanwhile Naomi seemed more of an oracle/operator than a front line soldier even though her foresight ability was pretty neat. She at least went out protecting her sister, just the situation she found herself was not only emotionally and physically painful but it was unfair and she didn't deserve to go out that way nor that early. Her life was changed for someone else's gain. So seeing these two innocent people that were a sort of anchor for the group's respective leaders and groups emotionally, killed for something that they didn't deserve made me personally feel sad for them. I will admit tho at first it wasn't a shock. It took me a bit to realize that life is unfair and cruel sometimes even to the most down to earth people which is what truly made me sad for them. No matter who got hit there these two would've been the first to go imo and just makes me feel like they were the wrong people to be drafted into this. They weren't suited for this war.

I can tell Nagi is just the kind of person willing to kill Yuito if he's really under pressure, no brain washing or whatever needed And oh, of course, he's Yuito's best friend

the thing is, he shows by dying that he would NEVER be willing to kill yuito. thats his major character trait that you just ignored. DESPITE the preasure of having his mind literally shattered he still refused to kill his friends. Him and Naomi's story arcs are mirrored. he gets mentally turned into a monster, she gets physically turned into a monster, and despite this they both die with their humanity fully intact.
