The line about more maturity in the story sounded interesting because they said they wanted to further explore deeper issues with having superpowers.

it's so weird. i love so many things about this game and hate so many things about it at the same time. the characters (with a few exceptions), soundtrack, and art direction are all amazing. even the writing has times where it's great and shows potential. i'd love to see a sequel where character development and worldbuilding are expanded upon, and maybe a more linear and focused story with proper build up. definitely would be my goty for 2021 if it wasn't for strive getting released in the same year. like another comment said, the game needs a sequel. not just because it's good, but because it has so many things that can be improved upon which would then make it an honest to gosh masterpiece. i think guilty pleasure is the perfect way to describe this game, and there's nothing wrong with the game for that.

Would come under the electronic genre. chill category of playlists. Some composers like Ólafur Arnalds as soundtrack composers will list as alternative like his For Now I Am Winter album. It might help to search for instrumental but electronic should be sufficient as it’s different from dance/pop

Late reply, but from what tai said it's most likely under the electronic genre. But I would like to add it could be on the sub-genre called jazztronica, shibuya-kei, or idk Jazz-Lofi fusion lol. I'd recommend some similar ost's that sounds like Scarlet Nexus: - Persona 3 - 5 (4 specifically) - Trails of Cold Steel I - IV - Trails from Zero/Azure Evolution - Melty Blood Lumina - Any Gran Turismo OST - MVC2's ost (it's acid jazz, so all of it just kinda sounds like Scarlet Nexus's "Sweet Hideout") - And maybe some of Yakuza's jazz ost's For non game ost's, I guess the jazz fusion band Casiopea?
