The only logical and realistic explanation is that her ability to manipulate reality is so random and unpredictable that it tends to back fire, harm her loved ones, or even both. It may have waxed and waned over the years, but it has always hindered her in one way or another.

I would like to see Scarlet Witch as a main villian in a whole new X-men film trilogy (Without Wolverine) called The X-Factor. A new team of Xmen who are assembled and led by Storm who go up against Scarlet Witch in one of the films in the trilogy. I think that would be dope! Who agrees or disagrees?

Scarlet Witch was never really the villain type, even when she got her start as a member of the brotherhood of evil mutant, her heart wasn't there. Her father was the leader (it's complicated but to summarize that was really the only reason she ever fought against the X-Men). That was before she was an adult. Most of her time was spent as a hero, usually with the avengers.

It was on www.newsarama.com. From what i saw online it was in Axis #7. From what I read the witch was angry with her brother and Magneto for working with Dr. Doom after he used her. She said some "morbid" rhyming spell that affected those of her bloodline. Quicksilver fell but Magneto remained standing.

+Sher-Sher Shenanigans Not sure what to think. I haven't been reading Comics for some time now so my conversation probably would have little value. I kinda liked the previous idea of being the children of Magneto. To me it created conflicted obligations with the three that bounces their concern between family and teammates(Avengers & X-men). Saying that Magneto and the twins weren't related to me was like saying May Parker wasn't related to Peter. At least the relationship was also changed in the Ultimate universe too. I think the twins are Wolverine's children.

SW has the ability to alter probability. She can make unlikely phenomenons happens. So it works like magic. Warping reality and chaos magic are all the same. Her magic hexes can make things move, dissapear, malfunction, backfire, or blow up. But her magic is based off that. Its not like she can turn someone into a frog or a cat like zatanna could when she says her backward magic spells. So scarlet witches "magic" is based off of probablity and luck.

I mean she can probably do that since chton gave her chaos magic.She even casted a spell in the comics that made it where no one could harm she hulk while she was Jen. But that wasn't helping because she hulk had a case she needed to be able to get information. Wanda did undo the spell

I rather like the comic-esque portrayal of her powers here, but the X-Men:Evolution version of the character will always remain the most badass cartoon version. The way they showed her powers in that show was gritty, real and destructive to a frightening degree.

@CharmedCoop both, she was taught magic by agatha harkness, a non-mutant but strong ass witch w/ a son who disliked SW cause her magic her more-so mutant based than magic based like a real witch in his eyes. Her mutant power I believe is said to be probability manipulation and able to access Chaos Magic which has its own story in the mutant universe.

In the place she was raised there were witches and growing up they thought she was both, but her form of "magic" was really just her reality altering abilities. However she does have a magical aura, meaning if she wanted to learn real magic she could, but she doesn't need it. Also that magical aura is a weakness making it to where Magick's soulsword and Pixie's souldagger could work on her. I know, I'm a nerd.

When she went mad the Avengers told Dr. Strange that she'd been overtaken by chaos magic and he scolded them and told them that there was no such thing as chaos magic. She's a level five mutant who can make almost anything she can think of come to be.

was always strange to me she had significant roles in xmen cartoons but not avengers where she is far more prominent and actually a member outside of an inconsistent tie to magneto and a brief stint with the brotherhood she should really be an avenger character primarily......compared someone like nightcrawler who is a tru blue xman....I could see quicksilver he always had more ties to xmen stuff due to his times with x factor.

No, this is not. This is from 2008-2009. I know which one you're thinking though, and it's X-Men: The Animated Series, which was the second X-Men series, with Pryde in the X-Men (i believe it's called) is the first, from the 1980's. The order is Pryde in the X-Men, X-Men: TAS, X-Men: Evolution (my personal favorite), then Wolverine and the X-Men (my second favorite)
