After we saw this movie we knew immediately we needed a song for the most powerful hero (villain?👀) in the MCU. And we knew our friend Addie from Halocene would be the perfect voice for it. Hope you like how it turned out :)

Just a nice, subtle little detail I noticed. As the song goes, Wanda grows more confident in her abilities, more sinister. Pay close attention. At the end of verse one, “Should’ve locked me up I guess it’s true. But don’t you wanna see what I can do?” Followed by an evil chuckle. She’s quite quiet, her words don’t really grab your attention in the way you’d expect. The end of verse 2, “Should’ve locked me up I guess it’s true. But don’t you wanna see what I can do, yeah?” Her volume grows, her confidence grows, you’re listening now, you’re pulled in. Then after another go of the chorus. “Should’ve locked me up I guess it’s true. But now every universe will see what I can do!” She’s fully in her stride now, she’s the Wanda we see in MOM, fully believing in herself, in her powers, the Wanda ready to invade Kama Taj (sorry, don’t know the spelling), ready to storm the Illuminati and tear them to shreds with next to no efforts. It’s a character arc in of itself. 10/10. Great job, NerdOut! 👍

this. is AWESOME! I never did care much for Scarlet Witch in the past with comics or her 1st appearance in the Avengers, but then she kind of grew on me. especially when she showed how strong she was in Avengers Infinite War, Endgame, then her own show in the finale. don't want to spoil things in case someone hasn't seen the movie but I'll just say I'm disappointed what happens in the movie. Also (off topic) America Chavez is suppose to be headstrong or fearless not what I saw in this movie. Hope she changes a little in future movies.

@re-vam-p2 жыл бұрын
how tf did you hate that movie??? it was masterpiece!
@HoofHearted882 жыл бұрын
@@re-vam-p Dude, it's a series of pretty pictures that wasn't connected by a good story. At all. The story is rubbish and tried to tell me a woman torturing an entire city to a point Kitty Forman wanted to be killed to no longer be tortured somehow gave up a lot when she stopped torturing those people... all to let go of some made up children she made up to process the death of Vision. And somehow this film tried to tell me she was in the right there, despite never giving us Vision in the entire film. The film has messed up morality. Strange is incredibly dumb, for whatever moments he was in the film as nothing he did in the entire film moved the plot. Even Marvel, on their instagram, made sure Strange isn't the focus. Wanda is. It's a movie that doesn't focus on the title character and rather gives us a messed up character with barely any continuity that kills the Illuminati in terms of privilige. But it did have some pretty colours, that's about the only redeeming thing I can give the film makers. That and some minor hints of Raimi-isms and Cumberbatch trying his match to save an awful script. These are just my two cents. I'm glad for whomever did enjoy it though. Selfishly I do hope the box office is disappointing enough for Marvel to change their ways, as I think all phase 4 films released by Disney have been rubbish so far.
@GeneralGrievousCIS2 жыл бұрын
@@HoofHearted88 I'd say Elizabeth Olsen's acting was a huge mark in the plus column for the movie (or a saving grace, if you disliked it). Even the most negative critics reviews I've ready talk about her being the MVP and the Wanda performances being the highlights. If she doesn't get a solo movie out of all this down the road I'll be completely shocked. But yes, they definitely pulled her off, in my mind (as a fan of the character), as a corrupted villain. Her lines were often solid (the kind that get reused for years by fans) and her emotional delivery was great.
@GeneralGrievousCIS2 жыл бұрын
@@HoofHearted88 I'd also argue that Wanda did let go in WandaVision fairly quickly after realizing the full extent of what she was doing (she starts the show not even realizing she's controlling anyone, and then spends most of the rest of the time thinking their lives are better anyway because she remembers they all seemed miserable when she got to Westview). Once she hears they literally want to die and feel tortured being sperated from family she tries to let them go immediately only to realize that means giving up her kids (who to her are quite real) and Vision... again. With everything else going on with Agatha and SWORD she doesn't really have time to process that and so stops to focus on the fight. Once the fightings over she gives herself like 15 minutes to say goodbye while simultaneously shutting down the hex and letting everyone leave. For her, as Strange says in the movie, that was a sacrifice though. She had the life she always wanted... the thing she aspired to since her days as an impoverished child in a wartorn country. She had a home, a family, a community, and the perception of happiness and belonging. For the good of other people she had to surrender that, and she did... but that's still going to be extremely hard. None of it was made up for her, she lived it, and her dreams would later confirm that in the multiverse it was all VERY real. Those kids aren't just inventions of her mind, they are genuine souls who biologically exist everywhere else, in all these other timelines. She may have created them with magic in the main universe, but what does that matter if they're the same, real, people. Thats where she's coming from. Most important thing to note though is the context of her actions. She's been getting slowly corrupted by the Darkhold for a LONG time by the time MoM starts, and we hear right off the bat from the end of the WandaVision how the Darkhold is spinning things in her mind. She hears her children crying out for help from somewhere in the multiverse, and reacts with anger. That's what we're left with. So she starts down this journey into madness thinking she's trying to rescue her lost children from some horrible fate. That morphs over time as she learns more about the multiverse, but as that happens she's also becoming increasingly more corrupted so it's offset. Fundamentally though, she still seems to think/be motivated by the idea her getting to this other version of her kids will be welcome by them, and she'll be loved as their rescuer. When that notion is shattered in front of her by actually meeting another version of her kids, who already have a version of her there that they love, and she sees that she's seen as monster rather than a hero she breaks free of the corruption and wakes up to her mistake, having a sorrowful breakdown on the spot. She then tries to atone by destroying every possible copy of the Darkhold in the multiverse, and her own castle. Scarlet Witch gets a full character arc that, imo, makes sense of the context of the corrupting effects of the Darkhold. I think their biggest writing failure for her was not emphasizing the role of the Darkhold as having corrupted her more strongly. They provide visual cues (the black fingers, the dark effects around her heart on her costume, etc.) but not necessarily as much dialogue as they could've to stress just how manipulated her mentality on the matter has been. Strange vs Darkhold Strange could've been a good opportunity to explore that plot point a tad further also. I suppose the movie could be a bit of a struggle though regardless if you're not a Scarlet Witch fan, as you're right in that it was effectively more her movie than Strange's. Promotion has also reflected this (in large part, I think, because she's got the larger/more dedicated fan base, especially now, and they know she and anything she's connected with will sell... ie. Tickets, merchandise, game add-ons, comics, etc.) as you noted. I'll admit my own bias in that I am a Scarlet Witch fan, and have been for a while, so the big Wanda focus was actively enjoyable for me and mostly clicked, both in terms of the character development and the action scenes (her increasing, incredible, power is very comic accurate and something I love to see). Going back to her earliest iterations this is, essentially, always how Wanda's most famed stories have gone. Mind boggling power coupled with loss, trauma, depression, desperation, emotional instability, loneliness, and/or an outside corrupting influence (the Darkhold, Chthon, Magneto, Doom, etc) causing her to do problematic things. She swings back and forth between hero and villain, and pretty much always has. Personally I like the complexity and nuance of that, but I can see how it could be frustrating for some and isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I'm sad that I probably won't see wanda anymore as a member of the Avengers and probably in the MC.
