Great video! I have a pair of Initial D Arcade Stage 2 machines and before I bought them, I had no idea net booting was even a thing. So when I discovered it, it blew my mind, haha. Both of my Naomi 2s already had NetDimms, so it was very cheap to set up. I've still been doing it the old fashion way with a laptop, but it's so awesome to be able to play Club Kart European Session, The King of Route 66, Crazy Taxi and others. Even non-racing games are somewhat playable without changing any controls, like Airline Pilots. I'd like to get one of the Naomi 2s going in my Neo Geo MVS 4 slot, provided I get a JAMMA I/O or make adapters for a type 1 I/O.

dylan craven Take a look at these Bartops running Hyperspin: www.tinyarcademachines.com/mame-arcade-machines.html I used to have one myself, they're pretty decent and there's more games on them than you'll ever be able to play! Not sure where you are but the guy who makes them is in the UK but I believe he ships them worldwide. They're pretty expensive though but run flawlessly, the only downsides are that the artwork offered for the sides is not great (just individual stickers stuck on rather than the whole side panel being offered as one piece of art). The other thing I didn't like was that when one of the micro switches for a button got stuck and needed replacing I discovered that all the wiring connections had been soldered (rather than crimped connectors being used which would be a lot easier to swap over).

I am about to buy a full Naomi2 set up for my Blast. Is it possible to have this set up and still use JAMMA boards at the same time? I want the VF4 games which are quite cheap, I am also wondering what the Naomi Dynamite Deka EX game is like. It never got a home port. I played Dynamite Deka to death on my Saturn back in 1996 and also loved the SEGA AGES PS2 version. The second game on the DC was OK, but I never fell in love with it like the first game. Have you played EX?
@ScarletSprites6 жыл бұрын
I’ve played EX, it’s ok but not something that I often have loaded up. The Naomi uses JVS wiring with an I/O converter, so you’ll have to do some switching to go back and forth between that and Jamma. I also have my monitor connected via VGA, so that’s something else to consider.

If you use a pc vga 31 khz with the same games it's the same no? For some jamma,ok,the real and emulation are not 100/100 accurate,but with 'modern' games they are closer to pc,like naomi,taito type x,so with a pc you should have exactly the same. I will built a nice pc hyperspin (or retroarch,mame,recalbox)in 640x480p,what's the better option (i3,i5..3,6ghz..4/8 go ram..ssd..hdd..Windows 7..10..?). It's just to play classic 15 khz with scanlines and 31 khz naomi,atomiswave,taito type X,terrordrome,sf4,trouble witches neo.. Maybe also a Xbox360 glitch on my Blast city in vga to have all japanese xboxlive arcade iso and retroarch if that possible.
