They had the potential to be something great, THE couple of the show, but I honestly don't know what the writers were thinking in the last two seasons (and I wasn't even a fan of them or of Scarlett, for that matter). Agreed! They often paralleled Deacon and Rayna at the beginning. Absolutely no idea what they were thinking either!

There biggest issue was gunner only ever really wanted scarlet when she was with someone else other than that he was on to the next women who he would romanticize as his dream woman and then he would get women invested in him loving him only for him to break up with them And move on to another woman and the cycle of women who were just place holders for the next woman

I completely agree Gunnar & Scarlett were the best couple from this whole series....the writers definitely ruined them....I couldn't even finish watching the show after they broke up for good....because they were it they were awesome together! I really wish they could redo the last season and bring them back together! I do happen to watch reruns of when they were together but again when it gets to the ending part of them not being together I don't watch because it just sucks so badly....it makes me wonder why I even rewatch any of the show because of the fact that they didn't end up together in the end! I still can't get over it even though the show has been over for however long it's been now but even with watching reruns it's like why couldn't they just make it work because the love was there but writers had to mess it up!

Seems like only Avery got a happy ending with Juliette and their two babies which really bugged me especially with how much of a spoiled brat Juliette was in the series and yet she got it all the guy and the kids she got the family at the end.....and it bugs me so freaking much!

This is so so beautifully done!! I shipped them hardest in season 1 but i always was rooting for them. Scarlett is the character I related to the most, in many ways. This was amazing with every lyric match, i love that "hall" by the jail and all sorts of little things. I need to rewatch this many times!
