I think Scarlett demonstrated very well why you usually chauffeur your swarm hosts via nydus instead of letting them waddle across the map so you can have almost 40 swarm hosts picked off

this map is tiny. and tempo is everything. nydus costs a lot, base structure and worms as well. this may be a difference between nexus dead or live. especially considering how broken battary super charge is (even nerfed).

The swarm host movement was just bad. She didn't retreat after firing the locusts and lost the first batch by moving them *into* the enemy army while on cooldown.

I honestly thought Scarlett threw game 1 when she didn't keep pressure up after the successful early ling flood, but Astrea put all his cash in Tech and Eco, and when I saw the platoon of zealots going for the counter attack I knew it was over for him. He had like 40supply to defend a maxed attack! Fun watching some "lower" tier players. When its not Serral v Maru, I feel like the players are more willing to pull out the secret strats, and Scarlett brings something interesting.

I love feeding 9,000 resources of swarm hosts waddling with no retreat nydus or burrow. She lost her hive with 3k minerals and 1k vespene and up 30 supply. No wonder NA players don't make it past qualifiers.

It's insane that he can expand that aggressively (same timing as Scarlet) and not get killed by hydra timing attacks every game. Like any top tier zerg from Korea or Europe kills him at 8 minutes 3 games out of 3.

31:54 I always knew Winter was partial toward Zerg. This is why he thinks Protoss & Terran are overpowered no matter how many nerds they get & buffs Zerg receive. Like the most recent patch nerfing mines into the ground, liberators losing 1 range, and some Zerg units getting +1 range 🤦🏻‍♂️

The ending of the second game really befuddled me... Astrea only had 3 archons, 2 templars and 4 immortals or so, but he was maxed-out. Did Scarlett know he had a maxed-out army? Maybe I missed something, but I feel like Scarlett could've taken out the remainder of that army, but maybe she knew it would take too much and he'd just bring more (including the carriers...)

Most of the zerg's supply was in production, not on the field, while Astrea was on top of Scarlet's production. He would kill at least one hatchery and 20 drones and some hydras that pop out. Maybe more. Even if you manage to kill what is left, you will be bruised by storms. And if you look at the unit counter right before GG, protoss had 4 more immortals, 3 more templars with energy, and 10 zealots warping in, at home. That alone would be enough to finish Scarlet, not even mentioning the carriers in production or a banch more archons he could add before the attack.
