That was always going to happen to him, he quite often starts his lift with a bent Right arm, and that's really a one way ticket to a torn bicep when using a mixed grip, especially with that kind of weight on the bar!
@gladiatorgamingnoob2035

This is why I won't lift a deadlift with a supinated forearm. I'm looking at the comments and no one seems to talk about this. If you look at compilation of bicep tears in deadlifts, it's usually in the mixed grip and the tear happens in the supinated forearm. You are more likely to have your biceps contribute to the lift in a supinated position and therefore the load transferred to it causing the tear.

It also happened to me in the middle of training a year ago. Went to several doctors and they did not want to operate, so I went to the physiotherapist a few times since I trained again and now I lift as much as before. So do not worry, it will be bre👍😄 When it happened to me, immediately I changed and started running legs😄😄😄

Does muscle tears require stitches? I thought they were very quick to heal due to nature of the muscles; they are filled with blood and nutrients; any injury gets fixed pretty quickly. Unlike what happens in tendons or ligaments; no blood vessel; your only hope is diffusion from the nearby tissues

Oh man, that sucked getting hurt like that. i tore my bicep by getting pined between a 40 foot trailer while sitting on a riding mower going under a trailer then tried to back out. The reverse lever broke and drug me under the trailer i jumped off after pulling me under the trailer. The pain was not bad but the operation was the worst. 3 months to heal.

I've seen many distal biceps tendon tears from reverse grip including Brian Shaw. it needs to be repaired ASAP or else the tendon retracts towards the shoulder eventually making it impossible to pull down and attach it to the radius bone with an endo button procedure.
