Thanks for the SVR videos!!! I've been a BMW fan and been thinking about getting into the range rover sport models. SVR has alot of depreciation left. Keep up the good work with the channel. Had it a couple of months? He bought it just before Chrimbo. Unless I missed it they are giving totals for the costs as if they were new into any car. The real way of calculating the cost of ownership of this type of vehicle is to look at the extra costs they have over and above what they had been spending before. So fuel and insurance should be looked at the additional cost over what his normal car would have cost him.

My friend bought this car a week ago ,, He bought a tuned running 700 bhp ,, My God its fast ,, upon launch the front wheels nearly lift up and the power don't run out ,, he cruising 2 full tanks a day local drive with ease,, lovely motor very expensive screams power and class but not for me ,, too expensive for my liking especially the fuel cost ,,, no doubt What a machine !! There crazy thing is you spend more money putting 20 bucks in than filling it not to mention easier on fuel pump etc in the winter you also moisture that can get in the fuel ... it's far better to have a car you can afford to drive vs doing 20 bucks all the time... fill it once and put 20 in when you drive it keep it full .. especailly in the winter if the highway is closed from an accident youd be screwed by running out of fuel

The figures for the SVR don't really add up and didn't take resale into consideration, clearly they're not cheap but it wouldn't cost 30k as the finance you would be essentially getting back after interest and depreciation, no one would buy a car that costs 110k new and costs 30k a year to run, its more likely 7/8k if you dont take the value or finance into consideration the rest is a moving variable, also most people that own these stick them onto their trade/fleet insurance or aren't under 30 unless they're a footballer so the insurance costs are a bit excessive.

if you have your own business getting a range rover svr isn't going to help. There are better cars economy wise. The running costs are not worth it, you could have a Ferrari or Lambo for cheaper than an SVR. And if you have a business and you write off too much the taxman will come looking into your business and nobody wants that.

And if you bought a car solely 100% for business for say £100,000 and 1 year later you sell it for £80,000, you should be able to reclaim the full £20,000 depreciation out of your tax. Why wouldn't that be allowed? It's a business expense.

Now i'm not speaking for the whole country but I live in Essex and the people who have those cars are dodgy business men or footballers like Andy Carrol level. Anybody asking somebody else to do a video about their tax write offs clearly is a low level business man/women or you wouldn't ask because you'd know that the tax man is not going to write off this expensive machine. It's a one way ticket to having HMRC come knocking on your do and lifting up your floor boards. So yes i do know what i'm talking about.

Not normally one for commenting but thought I'd have my 2p worth. As others have said, the SVR was always a bad buy and that's all I'll say on that. Can appreciate you trying to take more content to the track and not something many are doing. As a thought, you have possibly the best ever daily on order (RS6) you probs dont need another. Why not take some of the cash you get back from the SVR and start a track car build series, like car throttle done with the Project MX-5. Something affordable for the masses then turn it into a track weapon from a racing drivers point of view and what you should be wanting on track from a car.... you could milk that for at least a year and cost you well less than the cost of that SVR... just a thought.
