Scary Landing Airbus A320 Manchester Storm Ciara 09.02.2020

Strong winds made for a tricky landing on Easyjet flight from Marrakesh. Couple of sharp banks just before touchdown. Go around not required. Hats off to the pilot!

One of my pet hates also, but was trying to video without being noticed so just had the camera peeping over the edge of the window. Had to do it one handed as well, and believe me, my other hand was firmly gripping the arm rest 😉Also, it's a vertical shaped window so I can forgive people who use portrait for plane window shots.

So what exactly makes the landing scary? It's very normal that the wings are dropping and bouncing on turbulent landing but the pilots are very skilled to know when it's stabilized enough. It's just funny to see the reactions from people who don't know much about flying a plane...

Definitely Scary for some (as the screams testify). The video doesn't show the 'stomach in the mouth' feeling of course. Must say I enjoyed the ride. Quite a thrill and a relief to get it on the ground.

Fake news? No I uploaded it when I woke up after a good nights sleep after a flight which landed at 00:25 (and a 1hr car journey to Leeds). Flight U21894 if you want to check. I can send timestamp on the original video and my google timeline.. I can even remember the flight attendants names if you want to cross check.. But then again I could fake all of that!
