@@Betega not entirely true. The studio had no say in it at all. Harvey nor bob wanted to invest in another movie that was directly correlated with movies attached to their "brand". Keenan did not want to be director anymore because of the shady business that Harvey and bob were involved with so when he decided to move in a different direction his brothers followed along. They could have sued the weinstein brothers for their financial gains but not the studios (dimensions and miramax) that were directly involved. Wayan brothers would have most likely lost any lawsuits though cause of the power people that the weinstein brothers carried around them. It sucks cause scary movie 1 and 2 were hands down the best spoof movies made at least throughout my living years.

I miss these times so much and mostly because the comedies really made me laugh so hard back in the days. Every year from like 2000 to 2016 there came so many funny comedies every year that made you laugh so hard. But yes Todd Phillips that made many comedies that was popular like hangover-trilogy, road trip, old school and then made Joker said it best that you cant joke like you could before. Generation Z is so sensitive and some dumb older people starts crying for everything. Scary Movie 1 and 2 was really really great, 3 was good too.

This movie is what Scream was supposed to be but that movie evolved into its own franchise starting off as a satire but becoming more serious as each sequel is made. Ironically Scream 4 seemed more like a spoof and felt more like how Scary Movie felt but then after that Scream 5&6 got darker, bloodier and more serious afterwards.

The Movie...."Scary Movie" is Better than you might think. The Cast is Everything....Anna Faris is Iconic in this. The Others aswell....it is Funny. I like that Kind of Humor in General. My favorite being 50 Cent's In da club, which I called In da barn. Think Weird Al Yankovic Amish Paradise. That's the kind of route I went. But having a terrible voice and zero experience making a funny video to go along with it, I've just left them be. One day perhaps 🤷
