That's how my ex's rott was. He got him as a tiny puppy and he thought this 140 pound killing machine was a teddy bear, but when he wasn't there, that dog ran my house. One day I went to leave the room and I wouldn't leave my 18 month old alone with him so I took her by the arm. I was very pregnant with my other child at the time. Well, my daughter resisted and whined as I gave her a tug. He squared up with me, blocking the door growling like he wasn't gonna let me out with his baby. I just sat back on the bed and tried not to look bothered and grabbed her and ran for it when I could slamming the door behind me. It didn't end well. My ex went out of town and the dog went full tyrant. I was coming in from walking him one day and still on the leash he lunged and bit my 8 year old niece on the thigh. He broke skin and left a bruise, but like no medical treatment or anything. She was so traumatized. I was so guilty and so pregnant and at my wits end. I drugged him and I had him put down. The vet gave me 10 pills to do it. The dog had once beat up a black lab in his parking lot and he had to run out and rescue it, so he didn't doubt me when I asked him for help. Needless to say my ex never forgave me, but I tell you that dog was the devil when he wasn't there to see it. I hope they get some intervention so their story doesn't end like ours did.

Watch the rest of the videos, Bear is very vocal with it's growls, but it isn't really aggressive. Even in this video you can see that he is just playing minezies with his owner (if it meant aggression, it would've dropped his toys to be able to act on that by biting and adjusted his position to be able to jump at him better) which is using playful tone while "commanding" the dog. After Kayla tells it to drop it, the "aggression" towards the guy immediately ended cuz it understands playtime is over. Bear *is* a good boy. You just need to learn a little more about how rotties (and dogs in general) act, cuz they might look scarier but this is pretty common playing between the majority of dog races.

I'd be terrified to leave them alone- God forbid he starts biting or playing with something he shouldn't and there's nothing she can do to stop him. If you're in a relationship the dog should see you both as authority figures- that's raising a family dog 101. Even if bear isn't violent, one day he may get excited and go chasing kids or other animals in a park and if you can't recall him then you won't have a dog much longer.
