How could they and why would they be taken a mile into the woods? It'd be almost impossible to carry to adult folks a mile, especially in the woods and at night. Plus, what would be the motivation? I can't figure it out.

@@carlsmith9091if it was something like benzos (or really, various kinds of depressant mixed with alcohol could do it) there can be a period of time where you’re awake, walking, and talking before you pass out- but you have no memory of it. You basically chemically impair your brain’s ability to make memories for a short time, but your ability to function remains… somewhat, anyway. In that state, you can do a lot of things without remembering. I used to have a serious drug problem (5 years clean!) and I once mixed the sleeping pills I was prescribed with alcohol. Apparently, I called my then-boyfriend, and had a normal conversation with him, still drinking all the while. I then said a couple random things, before I just stopped responding entirely. He was completely freaked out, understandably, and called me a bunch of times. I was passed out for the next few hours and didn’t answer. I have a few stories like that. I once pulled a TV down on myself, but both the TV and I were fine, and I never would have known if someone else hadn’t seen it happen and told me. My point is, it’s possible that they walked there themselves and had no memory of it. Drugs like that can also make you more suggestible, so you might follow someone more easily if they ask. No idea why he would have led them all the way out there, but they also could have wandered out there themselves, then realized they were lost and decided to lay down and sleep it off. The story has about the right duration for a short-acting drug to work, and then start to wear off.

The grandparents' encounter with the goatman story reminded me of my mother's encounter with our own creatures of the night. My parents stopped at a rest stop around midnight so my father could sleep after a whole day of driving. It's a popular rest stop but very creepy even in the middle of the day even though the busy highway is just right next to it. Personally, I only took afternoon naps on that site but I never wanted to stop there at night. There's a small lake to the side that seemed to be designed for public recreation but it gives off an ominous "you'll never leave/be the same once you enter" kind of vibe. Sometime in the night my mother was woken up by a commotion. She saw a procession of inhuman looking beings noisily making its way across the highway to a festive looking village. The thing is: aside for the single house for the lake's caretaker there are no villages of any kind in the vicinity. One of the beings approached my parents but it winced it pain when it touched the car. My mother said the creature was yelling and pointing at the cross hanging at the rear view mirror. She immediately woke my father up and ordered him to drive away from the place.

@@maryashleyversace2659 I'm not sure. I never heard his side of the story or I don't the remember if he did see anything. I don't think he'd dismissed her experience since he had his own supernatural experiences in the past. And as a bonus it's interesting that your comment about my father is the first thing I see this morning. He lost his battle to cancer several year ago. Last I might I dusted off his old blazer from the closet so I can wear it to a staff photoshoot at school. Another one of those "coincidences" that I keep encountering, especially since last year. Like I noticed I unconsciously posting similarly-themed pictures on Facebook almost every year. For example I posted pictures of double objects(two hens, two cars in z workshop, and our two dogs all side by side) on the same date across several years. Most recently the sinking of the super yatch sank in Italy was followed by a boat sinking in my country where 3 students died. A couple days later Facebook reminded me of a picture of a river I posted almost a decade ago. Outside of the picture frame a female teacher who nearly drowned when she stepped into a hole while wadding through the river. I made a joke to a friend after seeing this new "coincidence" saying I already repaired the leaky pipe to my house so water-based disasters across the world should stop now. A couple of days later a woman in our my country was swallowed by a giant sinkhole...

In the first story, it definitely sounds like John drugged those 3 other campers with fentanyl, especially due to the feelings of sickness that included things like nausea, vomiting, & chills. I would’ve gone to the cops as they’re lucky to be alive tbh

The very first story....they wake up from being completely passed out, they are both nauseous, but don't want to accept the fact that they were drugged?! John drugged them all and probably sexually assaulted them. I would've called the police.

Thought of sharing this small story of me and my husband. In 2022 we used to live in a rental house. It was by no means a old house or at any dark corner. Locality was pretty populated place. But the flat we used to stay, both of us have seen shadows. They didn't do anything ever. And we are quite skeptic about if we have actually saw anything. One day, around 9 pm, I was in the kitchen, and he was at bed room. There was a 1 min space between these two rooms.Suddenly I heard him calling me "booo" (that's what we call each other) from that 1 mtr space. I loudly asked, what happened. He then came confused and told, "you only called my, booo". We both heard that. Clear as day. Have absolutely no explanation.
