It was always me who was haunted. Not just a person or place as a trigger, I actually stopped associating with my best friend because he was treating all this stuff like it was a game, and eventually he started bringing his friends to show off. I used to get furious. He loved getting reactions out of people, and thats why he’d bring people over. Other kids from my school. People that I had no reason to respect or trust. But I guess it did give me a sick satisfaction watching these skeptics fear. Then throughout the years the energy clash between Dustin and me became bad enough, and the clash was just kind of building up, apparently not finding it’s way out. Dusty’s mom (Alicia) and sister (Chelsea)always joked with me about all that stuff, that is at least until Alicia took me the the Cemetery. Avon Cemetery. They actually ended up moving for the second time that year. It became dangerous. And scary. And all though Alicia gave me shit, I could at least see she knew better by then. That was some of the most exciting years. I know I eventually shut it down. I couldn’t handle it. Started doing drugs. Tons and Tons of drugs, eventually it just slowed to a pace. And when my brain refused to go back I eventually shut it all down. Told myself it didn’t happen, and the day I connected my past to now. I understood.

This particular collection of stories is excellent. The Uvalde Mannequin story was SCARY. The Ted Buddy Angel Dust story is believable and damn near probable, he frequently drove hitchhikers through that area. He drove from Ann Arbor to Gainesville FL when he was on the run, not only was he in the area, he was ON THAT ROAD.

Maybe, for the one story, his "buddy" just didn't want him hunting on his property, but was too much of a coward to say so to his face, so set up the "scary" scenario for them, since he knew when they were coming and played "dumb" when they called him. But, ppl like that are, usually, just petty, jealous, or mean-hearted, and stupid, as well as cowardly.
