That is exactly why I almost quite doing alcohol ink. Everyone did things perfect and mine were not. So I thought I would just show the good bad and ugly. I had never seen anyone correct a mistake or just go with it to see what it does. That has been my whole channel. I don't want to practice before I do a painting. I just want to see what it will do. Keep painting and have fun.

Your techniques are amazing! Thank you for sharing! I just discovered your channel. With this, are you using the small or bigger airbrush machine please? I saw your equipment list, but didn't know which one I should get.
@SCARYHAIRLADY12 күн бұрын
The big one. Master TC 320 the small one does not have adjustments or a moisture trapper. The large one has a dial to adjust the psi and there are times i use the high psi and the low psi. so definitely the larger one. it is a pretty blue too.

The picture you made in memory of your mother is gorgeous. I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my mother just after Thanksgiving in 2018, but still miss her daily. What temp do you have your dryer on? Cool or low?
@SCARYHAIRLADY3 жыл бұрын
when I use the dryer it is on high heat. I use high air on most things. The airbrush is about 30 psi

A question from a newbie about precision tips. It appears that inks do not come in precision tip bottles so you have to buy bottles with those tips separately - is that correct? Can you just get the tips to insert into the original ink bottles? Or do you have to decant all your inks into new bottles? Thanks so much for your help - I've been googling this question with no success! These videos are a life saver 😆
@SCARYHAIRLADY3 жыл бұрын
I do buy some bottles with needle nose tips. But I do not transfer ink from the bottles unless the bottle is messed up. If I am mixing ink and alcohol then, yes I will transfer some ink and alcohol into another bottle. If I buy in the big bottles 2 or 4 oz. I will transfer into another bottle. I hope I did not confuse you . Let me know if you have anymore questions. Eloise

I'm new to alcohol ink why do you dry the red ink first? And is it dried all the way?

Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve been very frustrated with my beginner attempts, but this may be the key for me to figure this out. I’m a face painter, and with COVID, I have no outlet for my creativity. I came across AI on TikTok and decided to try it, because I think it’s beautiful!

You are going to have a blast with this ink. I really started doing well when I concentrated on learning 1 skill at a time. after a few I started to imagine and create somethings. Now I can do most things that I want to. But I am still playing and trying new things. As I learn I share. Hope it helps.

I love your style! I only wish all the alcohol ink artists would tell the compressor PSI and nozzel size on air brush. Colors to me are less important than the air control.
@SCARYHAIRLADY3 жыл бұрын
Good point. the nozzle size .. I have not idea. It is what came on it . The PSI is between 25 and 35 for most petals that are smaller and longer.
@brandied.77064 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing! Concerning the little "beads" or the way the ink "balls up" at the very end... do you have an in-line moisture & oil seperation filter between your air line and your airbrush gun? I'm taking a (strictly uneducated) guess that, maybe that's excess moisture. And, that's exactly what those filters are made to prevent. I've just recently learned about that, actually. I'd be really interested to know if that's what that is. Just a guess, though.
@SCARYHAIRLADY4 жыл бұрын
I don't have a filter on my airbrush. While it can be humid here I do this inside. When I do have problems inside, which isn't often, I let the dryer blow for a few minutes or I play with ink and the blow dryer and the humidity doesn't seem as bad.
@helene62903 жыл бұрын
J'ai oublié de vous demander si vous faites sécher la goutte d'encre avant de douffler

in the center of the flower? yes. I let it dry or I dry it with a blow dryer so it will not spread too much

@cindycowdin7047 Жыл бұрын
This looks like more for advanced. That’s probably why there is control where the petals go. Just sayin
@SCARYHAIRLADY Жыл бұрын
The only difference in beginner and advanced is practice. Sometimes this clicks with someone and they do fine with it, sometimes it takes some practice. The same principle either way. Just have fun with it. Paint like you don't care. You will uncover some natural talent. Have fun with it.
