Thanks for the tutorial man. But. BUT. He isnt slapping with his thumb though. He is slapping the A string with his index finger. Your version is hard af too but the alejandro is literally on one for that index finger technique

Thanks! I was wondering. Knowing how neurons work I want to make sure to practice the right way, w/out rewiring. Definitely an index slap. But how to get the 4th string to subtly ring out in combination w index slap is beyond me. Probably an artifact from increasing tempo or relaxation?

​@@tliedstrandIt's from your index finger slightly grazing it! It takes a bit to get used to but you have to think about hitting the A string at a pretty steep angle to get it.

Yeah his pinky/index slap thing is ridiculous. At the end of the day, if it sounds correct, you're playing it right for all I'm concerned. Everyone has their own tendencies and habits with the guitar, and to me that's what makes them unique. Good call out though. Thanks!
