There are packages for the RT that gives it pretty much all the performance stuff that the scat pack gets. I got mine with the plus package and the performance package which gives me the Brembo brakes and the sports suspension as well. Basically my RT is fully loaded besides the Daytona package.

I dont mind the R/T but i test drove one with my wife folliwng and her AWD Lincoln with the twin turbo Ecoboost was legit keeping up for awhile. I couldnt do it after that and went with an SRT8. She would have clowned me forever if i let her 13 year old grocery getter keep pace.

@@intra-th6rm yeah those damn engines can get moving and in an AWD it feels nice. I actually enjoy driving it more than the SRT. The hemi is stronger but that Ecoboost is smoother. Ford is always a little ahead of other domestic companies when it comes to design and build.

Yall please listen to lor shift about the RT handling boost better. Don’t just straight drop a procharger or whipple on your scats unless you fully build it out. Built motor built trans all that. An RT can handle 5-10ish pounds of boost safely while the scat was meant to be N/A.

Love my RT but you can’t go wrong with either If you find them for a good ass deal especially the scat. Let’s be real who wouldn’t want a 392 right off the bat tho lol once I wb my RT and go fbo I’ll be satisfied with my 5.7. The 7-10k you gonna spend on a procharger you might as well put towards a scat at that point.

If you don’t beat the sh!t out of them they are fairly reliable. They have common issues among them, also. Lifters, motor mounts, drive shaft parts, etc.. Change the oil regularly with high quality oil if you have a HEMI!

they will both hit 0-60 in 5.2 in a real world application. The R/T will gain traction faster than the scat pack and if you run both cars 10 times 0-60, it's gonna be 5.2. I've personally never seen 4.2 on the street

Buy an RT it’s not even a debate. More reliable, handles power WAY better, much more affordable. The internals in the scat are weak as hell don’t waste your money. Also we all know we gonna want more power later on so go with the car that can handle the boost with stock internals.
