◇ SCAVENGER ON THE WIND ◇ || Complete Warriors Cats Infection Au Map

STORYBOARD: • SCAVENGER ON THE WIND ...
Prequel/Sequel map call dropping soon....
Premise: The “Infection”, or what is known as “The evil eye” unknowingly lurking among the clans, comes from the Dark Forest. The infection was created by Starclan, as a form of punishment towards evil cats.
When Brambleclaw killed Hawkfrost, the fox trap was able to reach into the Dark Forest, having the infection cling onto Hawkfrost even after death.
Time passes, and Hawkfrost and Tigerstar finally see a cat easy enough to have their infection spread, Ivypool. Her envy towards her sister Dovewing meant that she would do anything to make her look bad.
Tiger and Hawk give Ivy a mouse, which led Ivy to believe it was spoiled fresh kill (and at the time, Ivy didn't know this mouse was covered in the infection), and she thought making Dove sick would be a good way to release her anger towards her.
But little did Ivy know, she would end up regretting that impulsive decision…

Bramblestar (here named Brambleclaw) was Hawkfost's sibling (they have the same father, but not the same mother). And Brambleclaw has killed Hawkfost at the beginning of this MAP, so I don't think infected Hawkfost has to be good to him. PD: I don't mean you can't feel bad about Brambleclaw

This is SO COOL! This is the scariest MAP I've ever seen. The distortion, the haunting looks- oh my god. This is literal nightmare fuel in the best way possible. Just the stiff movements & how they all creep in at the end. The fact that no one is safe, & these cats (things) really don't feel anything, including remorse. Seeing Bramble beg was comedic for a moment, but when you really think about it, that's horrifying; to be trapped & having to wait to die at the paws of what used to be clanmates. Extremely dark, & a really interesting/creative idea! Every single artist did AN INCREDIBLE JOB!! Great job, Funky, & all the participants! I hope you all have a lovely day. ^^

This entire MAP is a thing of beauty but I want to give a special shoutout to whoever worked on the Squirrelflight's transformation at 5:25, there's so many detailed frames for something that's over in about three seconds! That's some serious dedication and I want to encourage everyone to frame-by-frame it if they won't get too spooked, it's amazingly well done.

I love how this differs from a lot of other infection AUs and decided to change how exactly the infection works. The way those infected don’t just degrade but also transform into different distorted versions of themselves is something I haven’t seen before. I love how it spreads like it has roots too it’s such a cool visualization of disease spreading. The fact cats go to starclan despite their bodies still being alive is so eerie and terrifying to me and I love it. Imagine being forced to watch from above as your body goes on a violent rampage hurting those you love. You can’t do anything to stop it and can only be grateful you aren’t in your body and capable of feeling it contort and change shape. Overall this is probably my favorite horror MAP and everyone who worked on it did an incredible job. It successfully creeped the hell out of me.

I have been waiting for this MAP to release since the map call first released, and honestly, this was SO worth the wait! I’ve been super excited for this map for the long 8 months, and it means so much to me that it finally released. Every part is super amazing, the lighting in the dark forest parts are stunning, and the infected cast looks very spooky. I also love Firestar and Dovewing’s design. Every single person who worked on this map deserves a HUGE pat in the back, all the parts are stunning. I’m so proud of everyone who worked on this.

This is honestly one of my favorite Warriors MAPs now. Everyone did such a phenomenal job!! the initial of hawkfrost's transformation was abosolutely chilling. Reminds me of the analog series Vita Carnis (I recommend it for anyone who likes this type of infection based horror :) I stumbled across this map randomly a little while ago but I'm so glad I did. Ok so there body are like husk, Vessels; Not the actual cat. For the dark forest it seem the black shapes is how they look now. Also the husks becoming canibals is something. So for the questions 1. Who escaped, did anyone escape or did they all got caught? 2. How will the clans recover, will they recover? 3. Is there a cure to the infection? 4. Is there a part 2 for this? I love when people don't "pretty up" things - creatures etc and make it uglier and uglier to creep someone out... like comparing this to horrors nowadays, how am I supposed to be scared of some silly flashy colored mascot... this map is way better than most of the horrors nowadays, plus I think it'd be cool idea if cats from the dark forest were twisted in all directions and not just cats after death looking normally... but yeah, anyway, great work!!

i remember seeing the storyboard and i knew it was gonna a amazing map!!! all of the animators who took part in this are so talented and amazing! and i absolutely LOVE how all the animators drew the infected cats!!! they all look so terrifying and realistic. they way their animated adds so much character, like their stiff movements and how they all creep around! this is a very amazing and terrifying map! i don't even know how to describe it, ITS JUST MY NEW FAVORITE MAP!!!

This was AMAZING-even though it terrified me for about 5 minutes. Really, the style is *perfection*-because sometimes, gore or jumpscares aren’t what make horror. It’s the unsettling expressions, feeling of no escape, and the terror of those around you.
