I mean as a professional Decaying Winter player i can assure you this is exactly how it goes: you fuck around all the time but when you get to the Evac-ship you became like a roleplayer, you try to describe bad things in the most poetical way possible; you don't say "I'm dying", you say something on the line of "I'm slowly dying, may my death bring you closer to leaving this hell, best regards agents.". And when you finally manage to survive the final wave and you've completed the true ending you say something like "we did it comrades, against all odds we survived, or at least some of us did. May god be with you; see you on the other side, agents." This is what I truly love about this game, but you've probably already guessed it by my profile picture. "Have a cheer with me pal, this is gonna be a long night, we'll do our best to survive, or live to die another day.".
