Honestly Tim, your breakdown alone has helped me come up with some decent Sci-Fi ideas myself, since this was a very open and introspective review on the show, I can't help but think both you, and it, are kind of asking the same question: ''What does it really _mean_ to be a Human-Being?'

The show was great, watched it twice - first time with genuine enjoyment, the second one to get more details and, well, the story is still good but some characters are a bit irrational and do very dumb things. It sorta works in a plot but also makes it less believable. Yes, the focus of the show is not on that and it's alright, but at the same time you do not land on a unknown planet with potentially hostile wildlife in your jammies and with just one knife for three astronauts. You just don't.
