I learned how to stay out of their way by riding with one rein up through the gaits and then just circling down gently down through the gaits. (It was really MY issue and not the horse’s!) 😳 Lots of transitions and learning to not micromanage helped me a ton. This was a nice demonstration and good timing during the clinic to work it out. Well done!

I watched this activity the day of the clinic and didn't fully get the concept. I arrived just as Kristen was first starting the exercise. At first I didn't realize that the she had an aid, the Dressage Whip. Now, after watching this video, the concept is clear. I know from my experience that at times you need to take that leap of faith and open the door for the horse. I shall share this with others. Thanks for doing what you do Herm.
