if i'm not mistaken, this song is about the cry of a woman about her love one going to battle. Hence the haunting cry of the alto (her delivery brought me to tears). Then transitioned to the battle. This performance is beatiful

This song actually is about creating the scenery of the North (Northern Luzon) of the Philippines, that's why it's called Scenes from the North. From the birds, to the winds, majesty of the mountains and the ancient grounds and such.
