There is the implication that he, at least, considers himself weaker by virtue of his soul being owned by another, rather than just being legitimately weaker. (He probably is weaker but by less than he seems) He obviously is used to hitting way above his current weight class with the way he stepped to Adam. There wasn't any hesitation, he was *certain* he could take the guy and was genuinely confused when he capped out at being mildly irritating even while exploiting what he recognized as all of Adam's weaknesses. So more than even just being inferior Lucifer's presence was playing to his fear that he may *actually* be inferior post whatever deal he's under, and then Adam confirmed it. Hence why he seems pretty manic now. (Probably preaching to the choir though, lol)

Alastor really got the short end of the stick in the official show,he was creepy yet very nice at first in the pilot and they kinda went away form that which i hated. I loved his "sans" trope when hes a chill person but is the polar opposite when fucked with.

YEAH EXACTLY !! The pilot will always be the best in my opinion, the colors are much more blended with the outline being faded, a lot more shading was added and the characters had less staticy movements than they did in the show
