Scenic Amber Cabin Tour

We were in cabin 210 the end of September, 2017. The bed is adjustable (1/2 sides), and you are able to request your choice of pillow (just ask your butler). The deluxe cabin is spacious with room for tall people. We did not experience any problems with noise or sleep disruptions. Breakfast at Crystal Dining is buffet-style, lunch is usually during excursions, the Amber Lounge has coffees. teas, and cookies 24/7, and a River Cafe snack counter. There is a set of walking-sticks and an umbrella in the closet along with two GPS units. The only problem we encountered was charging the GPS. We finally figured out only one of the "chargers" in the closet functioned, so we charged our units one-at-a-time with no problems thereafter. Portobello's is dinner invitation-only for most cabins and included one time for all cabins each cruise. Dinners are served in courses with plentiful portions. There are cameras on board that may be viewed with your flat-screen TV. You will love Prague as an add-on!

We are doing the Amber next June (Gems of the Danube with Prague). Would love to hear about the other aspects of your journey, amenities, service, food, etc. Those Scenic Lounge windows and screens are extremely cool. Thanks for sharing. Btw, we are both “tall people”, did you have any difficulty navigating the cabin and the common areas?

James Bolger I will have more details in posts and on my Facebook page in coming weeks. The service is excellent and food variety, preparation and availability is also very good. I am 6 foot 4 and totally comfy in my suite, even the bathroom. I also will have a full ship tour video going up soon. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Excellent video. Tho I've been on four Uniworld cruises, I'll be sailing on Scenic (Ruby) for the first time and was curious about the cabin beyond the brochure photos. Looks like I'll be very comfy there especially now that I know how to turn on the water in the shower (really!).

Does the makeup mirror in the washroom light up?

I think it might. I didn't use it myself. Lol. I think that ring around it lights up though with a switch.

What was the general age of the people on the ship. Was it older people or more younger people?
