Personally I liked Hua rongzhou character as male lead.He really loved her selflessly.But he turned out to be none other than hua chian's alter ego.Perhaps this was to show that you are the only person who can love yourself limitlessly.😅

there is this extra ending where she says ye lan her ex husband is a girl's love at first sight. Hua rongzhou is the suitor of our dreams. and Xi Wu is the man who loves us no matter how we are. so i think i too liked Hua RongZhou because he is the man of our dreams /fantasy ,because he is caring ,supportive ,he never left her ,ready to die for her etc. and that kind of man only exist in our dreams or fantasies.🥲

@@Xsan98713 She felt very un-loved in her world especially by her crush/ex so in her dream she created Hua Rongzhou who loved her unconditionally and fearlessly and always there for her. This drama is so good not only because of the story but also the characters and the reflections on the characters. Love how the writer(s) set up the ending and tied all the plots together. Cast was wonderful!

​@@weilingaby3029 I totally agree I see some didn't like the story I guess they didn't really try to understand the message of the story I like it also the ending even if its kinda sad but it teaches us to face our own reality even if its cruel or not what you dream of and not be contented in a fantasy or dream that you want to happen. It shows that in reality its not always happy and not always go to the flow that we expect or want to be. We have no choice but to move forward and face our own problems

I still doubt about the ending of this drama. I thought she will end up with her bodyguard Hua Rongzhou, but suddenly it turn out all the thing that happen is her dream while she was sleeping. It makes me confuse if she didn't turn back time, how can the city lord love bad Hua Qian. Can someone explain it to me?
