Today we're going to talk about two of my favorite things - coffee and fragrance. Specifically, I want to share with you my go-to coffee beans that I use to make the most amazing espresso at home.
This is Lavazza's Super Crema whole bean coffee. I know, the name sounds a bit funny, but trust me, these beans are no joke when it comes to flavor. Lavazza is an Italian brand that's been around since 1895, so they definitely know their coffee.
What I love about the Super Crema beans is their rich, nutty flavor profile. You get notes of hazelnut and even some brown sugar sweetness.[9] It's a medium roast, so it's got a really smooth, balanced taste that's not too bitter or acidic.
I use these beans to make espresso with my espresso machine. The crema that forms on top is just luxurious - thick, persistent, and a gorgeous caramel color.[1][9] Even my guests who aren't big coffee drinkers are always impressed by the espresso shots I pull with these beans.
But beyond the taste, I'm fascinated by the aroma of coffee, both while brewing and in fragrances. Coffee is actually a note used in a lot of perfumes, especially gourmand and oriental scents. It can add a deep, bewitching warmth and sweetness.
Some popular fragrances with prominent coffee notes include:
- Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Coffee
- Maison Martin Margiela Coffee Break
- YSL Black Opium
- Montale Intense Cafe
I find coffee scents so comforting and alluring. They make me feel cozy yet energized at the same time. If you're a coffee lover like me, I highly recommend trying a coffee fragrance.
So those are my current coffee bean and fragrance obsessions. I'd love to hear what you all think - do you have a favorite coffee brand or coffee-inspired perfume? Let me know in the comments below!
