Scentsy Club order, changes and my thoughts (brutal honesty)

Oh, sweet Krista! My heart hurts for you! My Dad is widowed and had been completely isolated because he is immunocompromised due to his heart. We tried to do driveway visits but he said it was harder to see the kids and me without being able to hug us or to hear my kids cry as we left. In June, I could tell it was taking a toll on his already fragile mental health. I invited him over for a visit, where we would stay outside and masks on. It was one of the sweetest days of my life! The joy and tears from us all when we hugged was such a relief! We continue to do these outdoor visits when the weather allows. I pray you can find a way to feel that relief! I am also frustrated by the changes. I feel like they are stomping on their loyal customers. I understand how unbundling the bars can be helpful to the customers. But I am perplexed about how ALL the other bundles going away is going to benefit us! The VIP program (before Scentsy Club) was used for the Laundry products and bundles. I heard another KZbinr say that all the directors who piloted this loved it. I would like to hear specifically WHAT and WHY they liked it. Maybe that would help us see the forest for the trees. I appreciate your honesty and how you explained it all. I kept saying there's no way we're saving money but others kept trying to make it sound all sunshine and roses. I understand price increases, it's happening everywhere right now but don't try and tell me it's to my benefit. I'm keeping my club but scaling it down dramatically. And you're spot on, we can all live without this wax and they do need to keep that in mind.

Great explanation of how the club will work in the future and you used examples!!! My clubs never stay the same and I have stopped and restarted my club 3 times in the past but I am NOT HAPPY with the changes. I like how you said " it's just wax and I can live without it" I actually have enough to consider about going on a no buy/ low buy until next June 2021. Also PLEASE do NOT isolate yourself right now if you can. I know you love to ride but find a riding buddy. Riding horses with other people is more enjoyable for me. Taking away Scentsy Club perks makes it seem like they don't want new customers to join. Can they not keep up with the demand? It's hard to accept free shipping being taken away, but I think they should still do discounted shipping for club members so they can consider that a "perk", like $5 shipping instead of the $8 for smaller orders. But any order over $75 should get free shipping in my opinion, since that seems to be what other companies do.

I heard if you use the wiff box as the half off on the club you have to pay separate shipping? I myself am done with them, they are one of the only company that made record high sells during the pandemic and this is how they thank their customers, other companies after a curtain amount shipping is free, with Scentsy they charge more

I feel the same way about 100% fair chance but this actually makes me feel a little punished for loving a product or a scent that I learned about from a campaign like BBMB. Honestly, it’s making me force myself to convince myself to not “need” those products that I thought I loved and wanted to always have. It’s not just the money either. With everything going on right now, trust and character and integrity etc seem to be getting thrown to the wayside by too many. This leaves me feeling not so great. Maybe I am too deep emotionally but whatever. Last but definitely not least, sweet Krista, I wish I could come check on you right now and you would be comforted. I am very very new to scentsy and I've been watching videos all over and a few of yours. Let me tell you, don't Apologize for being honest. I appreciate it so much. We all have been made to be so afraid to say the wrong things, that everyone "blows smoke up everyone butt" lol sorry, but its true. Keep being true to you and you can't go wrong!! I think the best deal on Scentsy club would be getting 10 bars for the 10% off plus half price item and getting a brick. It would make the cost of bars (including shipping) 4.93 a bar If you count the brick as 5 bars. There are only 12 bricks to chose from. If a brick I loved was in there it would be worth it but I never bought one even though that was a perk because those scents didn’t interest me but that would be the way to go if someone likes those scents.

I agree with you 100% on the club changes. The shipping is ridiculous in the first place but to make us pay in club is terrible. I hope they reconsider after hearing all the complaints. I’m so sorry you’re feeling lonely. Hang in there!! 💜💜

Hi Krista i agree with you totally i just found scentsy and in only 2 months i have spented loads of money but the selling point for me was the bundle and save,free shipping i agree with you its only wax i have fallen in love with different companies through the years and i dont need anymore wax or product.I suffer from bi polar and depression and when i found scentsy i was like talking about it non stop now i think their just greedy.I wish and hope you are doing great you are a great consultant i love that you are honest not many peolpe are and i enjoy a your channel. i would love for your channel to grow vlog about your farm and your day! I’m a consultant too and 100% agree! I’m seriously mad about these changes. I have a hefty club and I have to scale way back. We’re being penalized for being in the club. Always get my bar is the only perk now.

If they actually thought it was to make it easier for the customer, they could have done buy 5 get one free without being in a bundle for club members. Instead they are actually penalizing club members by getting rid of bundles and keeping bundles for the people that just make a purchase here and there. Any why charge shipping if they are just trying to make it easy for us.

Yeah it’s so easy for every single company to automatically add the discount once the requirements are met, for some reason scentsy can’t get an IT group talented enough to code for once 6 non licensed bars are in the cart the price goes down to $5?! Seems impossible to me.

Krista I hope you're doing better. Your video was real, raw, and honest. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about my Scentsy club. I feel your frustration. On websites I normally will only order if they offer some kind of free shipping. I feel this was poorly thought out and sneaky. Take away 1 perk not both. You're completely correct it's just wax and life goes on. Not doing anything hasty at the moment maybe I'll switch to monthly get 2 ships then cancel the entire mess. Keep your head up. I've always liked your channel.

Have you tried freezing and chunking up a BBW Winter Candy Apple candle to replace that bar? You'd get a lot of wax for a good price if you bought during a great BBW sale. Maybe save you a bar from your club order? I canceled my club. I'll just order when I want. I'm not desperate to keep discontinued bars. I'm a newbie so that helps me, haha. Amazon offers free shipping without Prime too if you spend a certain amount. ;)

Ramona Tulk has videos on how she does it, as does CanadaKim. I usually just freeze it to get it out of the container and then let it thaw a bit before chopping up and storing in a polypropylene bag. They have great throw! Maybe check on candle day this December.

I’m doing much much better, thank you so much for asking!! Oh yes! Animals are my life! We (my dog and I lol) spend a lot of time outside working on a project or messing with a horse. The lack of human contact along with a few things that hit at once last week just totally overwhelmed me. My parents came this past weekend for 4th of July and that ability to hug them tight just melted it all away! I would love to work in a rehabilitation aspect of things! I always had dreams of working in the rainforests. My cousin is in that line of work and I love hearing about her animals and their journeys! Thank you for all you do!!

100% agree with you. I have (3) 6pk bundles and knew adding bundles I would have to keep the 3 bundles not to lose all my scents but I’ve always been able to edit them without risk of losing anything so I feel them getting rid of bundle and save in club is a bad business move for them. I honestly feel after August I will probably cancel it all together if not before.

Also amazon is $10 a month for unlimited shipping. I get one shipment from Scentsy for $8. If I want to order something else that month it’s another $8 or more depending upon the amount. I’m definitely getting a good deal in amazon but not in Scentsy. I don’t know any other company that charges you more the more you spend. Okay, that’s it. Sorry you are in this position. I hope Scentsy reads all these comments.

I also can't calculate a scenario there is a savings. I get about 48 bars a quarter in two clubs. I calculate bill will go up about $33-$38 to buy the exact same qty of bars. I am not canceling but will be cutting to 10-15 bars only. If their goal was to reduce sales, mission accomplished. I think this whole ”Super star directors” love the changes is a bunch of crap. So disappointed.

Yeah, I am not interested in adding a 1/2 priced item when it just adds more to my total order and more tax and more shipping. They took away the perks that attracted me to get a club in the first place. I can 100% live without any of the always get my bars also.

When I was laid off of work from the pandemic, I thought I really need to cancel my club. Which I did. It was just money I didn’t need to spend. Your right, it is just wax that smells good. There will always be good smelling candles and wax we can buy. When you put it into perspective, it’s really not that hard. I don’t know why Scentsy made this change, but it has nothing to do with being easier for their customers. come on now... 🙄😘😘

Aw, Krista I completely understand about being isolated, especially with pets, not being able to leave for a couple days or friends with underlying issues. Maybe host a BBQ and stay safe. But I’d rather be home with my pets!😁 I agree completely about the “new Scentsy club” being a consultant also, it was a way to get products without shipping. I already have lost customers because of the high cost for shipping. The overhead can be hard for us consultants paying for samples and what not. I would be OK with removing the 6 pack and not get charged for shipping. But the double whammy is not fair. I will be purchasing way, way, wayyyyyy less. Yes!! Paying out of pocket from our commissions for samples that’s almost necessary to get scents out to customers gets extremely expensive!

The small focus group you mention, involved with these changes apparently are not going to suffer. I checked with a small business owner who ships a lot...the current shipping price I would pay for 3 six pks/ 18 bars would cost him the same as 2 six pks, possible even 4 six packs. I’ve sent out a box using one of his labels and the cost was very reasonable, so I am clueless why bars are so expensive to be shipped. I think if I was ordering warmers and heavier products I might be more understanding. Perhaps Scentsy should watch videos like yours🙂..they certainly don’t want to lose good consultants. Y’all are the reason a ton of customers order regularly in my area. Ordering separately online is more expensive for them. I won’t be buying any SOTM bars or limited collections anymore. Most were never worth repurchasing again & I can use that saved money towards the increase in Club costs. I almost bet Scentsy will reinstate bundle & save to Club. They are going to take a major hit if the public balks at these changes. This isolating isn’t good for overall health during the pandemic. It suks, but I’m glad you’re in your house & not dealing with the building of it during all of this. If I lived closer I’d stop by, get out a lawn chair and hang out in the yard.
