Linda thank you for sharing your wax storage -it's all so beautifully organized and it looks like it's easy to find everything. I love those battery-operated taper candles! How great to have an extra storage room like that. I think the right amount of wax is whatever makes you happy. Thanks again Linda! ❤️🤗🥰

Hi Linda! Thank you for the Tour! You have an amazing Collection! And the variety!!! Wowza! I started off saying I was never going to buy beyond my shelf, but it only holds 39 Bars, so I bought another shelf which holds 27 Bars! I have a whiff box of “New” Bars, and a Scentsy Box of scents that are “ok”. I have my Scentsy Club coming in a week or two which has 16 Bars and a Whiff Box, as well as an order I placed during the Clearance Sale 5 Bars! So around the house I probably have 100 Bars! To my Friends and Family this amount is a lot, and they’re right! Scentsy has been a wonderful distraction for me. 2021 was a difficult year, yet I got through it with lots of “Aroma Therapy”! Scentsy has this down to a Science! They get immediate feedback on Collections and Scent of the Month, and then they go back and improve the formula! For example, from Jammy Time to Snuggle Up to Stargazing! Or from Berry Bright to Angel to Aladdin 3 Wishes You know, I have started to skip buying EVERYTHING, it’s hard missing out, but I really don’t want my stash to get beyond what I can realistically warm! I love your videos, and I hope to see and hear more from you in the future. Happy warming!
@lindah_home_and_scents2 жыл бұрын
Thanks my friend! It sounds like you have a just the right amount of wax for “aroma therapy” - love that! This tour video was a bit of a rude awakening for me. Someone asked me how many bars I had so I did a rough count & 😳 😬. You are right we need to be able to warm all the wax. I actually didn’t realize how much of certain scents I’d accumulated. My sister was here today & she said she doesn’t worry about kicking scents out of her club because Scentsy is always coming up with something good. I need to do a thorough review 😩

Your wax/fragrance storage areas are perfect! I love looking at neatly stacked rows of clamshells. This was sooo enjoyable! I keep my wax on shelves because it’s easy and quicker to rotate, restock and use on a daily basis. I have a cabinet with shallow shelves where I keep wax I’ll want to melt for the season, along with year round wax. Downstairs I keep off-season bars in a closet with shelving, kinda like you do. Most people would think we’re overboard with wax, but I use it so it’s simply just keeping stock on hand. The one thing I’ve changed is having too many bars that I don’t warm often. I now keep mostly wax that I really enjoy and I always have a hefty little stash of my favorites. Thanks so much for the tour. I think you have a fab set up! ❤️
@lindah_home_and_scents2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! 🤗💛 And thanks for sharing how you manage things. I’m going to follow your lead & only restock bars I really love. Also… going through my bars doing this video I realized how many of certain scents I had accumulated 😳 I immediately went into my club & removed some. Something new & wonderful always comes along so I’m going to warm through some stragglers to make room for favourites!
@penney13072 жыл бұрын
That’s what I do when I’ve accrued too many bars I’m impartial to or never warm. Your collection looks great, though. You’re not overwhelmed and you use it. 🙂 I just dread editing my club in January. It’s always heftier when fall/winter bars leave, plus we’ll have bbmb! 😳

I also like Bonfire Beach reminds me of my deceased husband and when we went beach camping and sat by the fire. I think we had that German candle thing. You put the candles and it makes some paddles spin. Does it do anything else I've forgotten?

Hi Clarisa. What a nice memory to have. I love scent for that - it can reconnect us to our happy times. My daughter lives in Germany & she bought me the Christmas candle carousel. Mine just spins the blades but I’ve seen some very fancy ones at the Christmas markets in Berlin that had all sorts of moving parts.

I loved this. You have great storage spaces. I don’t have a lot of storage and I’m trying to figure out what to do with stuff I want to have a stash of versus what I put in my club. How long do the bars last? I hear some get better with age and some get juicy.
@lindah_home_and_scents Жыл бұрын
Thanks Martha 🤗 💛 How long do the bars last? Well if you store them in the right conditions quite a while. Patricia Gaetz would be a good one to ask she has tons of old stock - I’ve seen her review bars from 2017. My basement is a good place to store. In western Canada where I live we have almost no humidity so they stay cool & dry in the summer which is the most challenging time for bars. I almost never get juicy bars. The oldest bars I have are from 2019-2020. I will say that I find some bars that were powerhouses when I bought them (Sweet Plum Pastry, Apple S’Mores come to mind because I just warmed them) seem to lose a bit of strength & longevity. I think Scentsy recommends using them within a year so I try to do that. I have some bars from early 2021 that still perform ok but they leave quite a residue in the dishes especially bakery bars over a year old. Hope that helps but if you watch Patricia’s channel ask her. She lives on the east coast where it is more humid & she stores her wax a bedroom closet. She also has an Instagram account & she answers comments on there too.

@@lindah_home_and_scents thank you so much. I live on the west coast in Northern California and it’s nice and dry here to. I do watch Patricia’s channel and have noticed the dates on some of her bars as well. This is very helpful

Great video Linda.. Your storage and collections of wax, warmers and other goodies is fabulous. I am so jealous of your cave, I would love to have a space like that so I could store everything in one spot. In our 2 guest/spare bedrooms I have a 9 drawer long dresser and a 6 drawer tall dresser where I store wax and 2 closets are full of warmers, so a space like yours would be terrific for my scentsy storage needs. Thank you for sharing this great video, it was really enjoyable. Have a great rest of the week and enjoy your camping get away..

Thank you Lesley! Yes it’s an odd little space but I’m glad to have it. In my previous house I managed much like you do by storing my wax & warmers in my guest room/office closet. Mind you back then I was much more disciplined with how many bars & warmers I purchased 😳 if you give me space I will fill it 🤷♀️

Thank you so much for sharing. I also love to see how people store and sort their wax and warmers . Having seen a couple of these recently I may swap my mine around and start up a licensed basket. At the minute I have sections for .. bakery, citrus, floral, woods, fruity, fresh, Autumn/Halloween, Winter,Christmas and then Other. Other tends to have favourites in that I find don’t fit easily into other categories like Southern Evening I have 5 of those and things like Hendrix, love and happiness … just don’t seem to sit perfectly into a category so they go in “other” . I have about 120 bars (I’m a customer not a consultant) and I have serious bar envy when I see all the bars in your collection …absolutely great . I love that you have lots of tea lights and incense which I also have . Thanks for sharing my scentsy friend ..thoroughly enjoyed. 🤗

Thank you 🥰 I love your categories. I thought about buying at trolley with more drawers but the bins were smaller & I have too many of the same bars 😳 My goal going forward is to have a variety to choose from but only a couple of each. I didn’t realize until I did this video that I had 6/7 or more of the same scent in some cases. That’s nuts & it takes up all my storage. I love all things scented & essential oil warming/incense were my first loves (going way way back) so I can’t let go of those either ☮️ Thanks again 💛

I loved seeing your wax collection and your storage , Great Video Linda. I also enjoyed Spiced Apple Chestnut from last years Scents of the Season collection i have used all mine though i only have Wassail Wonderland, Blue Christmas left. I have 3 bars of silver bells it's currently in our clearance section in R3 so will have to get at least another 3, i was late to try this scent and when i did i fell for it, love mixing it with polar bear hug it's a great mix. I can't wait to try Blond wood & Moonflower in January when it comes to R3 in January for BBMB. i HAVE NOT TRIED IT BEFORE SO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. I have 4 drawers which have 6 bars across, 4 bars down, 4 bars high full of Scentsy wax AND 1 drawer that holds 30 wax bars & 2 bricks. the other 2 small drawers have bars that are 4 across, 3 down,4 high. so my esitmate would be 462ish but i have more on the way, far too much wax to try to keep cool in the warmer weather. The wax i have in my Drawers are stored in my bedroom in their own scent categories woods, Floral, citrus, fruity, Fresh, bakery & Spice and lastly Licensed bars. Then i have a small basket which is for my R1 bars that i keep in my closet they are bars I get from a lady here in NZ, currently i have 18 R1 bars. i've finshed one out of the 18 bars i have which is Breakfast in bed but i keep the empty clam in the basket because it still smells yummy and i can go back and sniff it in the future if i want. the other R1 scents i have are: Rainbow Sherbert, Tinsel Berry, Dark Habour, Cinnamon Buttercream, Skinny Dippin, Johnny Appleseed, Peppermint Dreams, Scary good, Autumn Sunset, Iced Pine, Caramel Apple Craze, Winterberry Apple Tea, Pumpkin Roll, Cedar Cider, Very snowy spruce, Pumpkin cinnamon swirl and Just Fir you. then in the same basket i have 4 bars i am hoarding that i love and i am waiting for them to return so i can club them they are: Driftwood Bay, Tea leaf & Rose, Cashmere Pear, Sunny Apricot. I also have two whiff boxes that i store my partial bars in and i am currently working through i have a total of 35 partial bars in them. I also have a Mixology basket that has testers that i am working through of mixers i have not done before. i do this as a way to get through old or discontinued testers as well as giving them to my customers. but i have heaps of testers. i am finding i have no more room in my 7 drawers to store my wax that i get in my club so i will have to store them in whiff boxes for the time being til i get a second stack of drawers or i am currently thinking of doing up different bundles to sell to my customers as a way to make room well that's what i am planning at the moment. i have a special draw for bulbs for my car bars, scent paks, scent circles and pods i have hanging on a Scentsy rotating display. in my lounge i have bookcase type shelving that has 7 shelves two of the shelves are to display some warmers 2 out of the 6 warmers displayed i turn on at night they are the Etched core white warmer and the Purple Disney's villains warmer the other 4 are decor pieces and they are Road less travelled warmer, the retro black truck warmer, Bali warmer and Around the world warmer. The other four shelves have my personal stocks of Scentsy products like one shelf has hand soap and hand cream, another shelf has sugar scrub, body wash, body cream fragrance mist and bath bombs all line up in order so i know what needs to be used first and it's been sorted like that thanks to Patrica Gatez. I learnt from her about the number on each products. Another shelf has laundry items my Bali warmer and Fragrance flowers. the top shelf is clean products and Lenny the lamb buddy. On top of the shelving unit i store my Scentsy soaks and my Penguin buddy. As i'm writing this i'm sounding like a person that hoards Scentsy Haha. Well I am for sure a Scentsy addict. I seriously need a reality check and cut some bars from my club but i just can't do it even though i know i need to but it's the fear of them never returning to R3 fragrances like my beloved Sweet plum Pastry (Thanks to Lisa Rowberry), Toasted Marshmallow, Blue Agave & Melon, Happy Birthday, Saddle up, Musk Sticks and 7 BARS from BBMB. well it's something that i'll try to work on. your stash of Cookies for Santa is my stash of Sweet plum Pastry which i warm all year round. I think your stash is a great amount, I wish i could be that controlled with buying that amount of wax. sorry for my extra long comment but it's nice getting to know what bars you love and have stored through your videos and you can get to know what i love and what I have by the fragrances i have mentioned in my stash through my long comment. thanks for sharing and giving us a peak at your great collection and i'll have to check out SAJE loving reading in the comments from other people how they too store there wax and how much wax they own as well makes me think i really need to cut back.

Thank you Angela - I LOVED hearing about your Scentsy stock!! You have some great scents & you sound very organized! I think it’s great! I might copy you & offer some bundles to my girl-gang. That’s a great idea & a good way to reduce my extra bars. I love having lots of warmers. I rotate out warmers all the time changing up my decor. I have at least 15+ going throughout my house at any given time. I am trying not to buy more right now but let’s see how long that lasts 😳

Thank you so much for the tour!!! I like Vanilla Blackberry, too. It is in my club and I am warming it right now. 😁 Speaking strictly about Scentsy bars, I think I have a similar amount. I have a large, old cupboard with tall shelving space where I store my out-of-season and "upstairs" scents. I have a drawer on my first floor where I keep current "downstairs" scents. I probably have less variety of scents but larger stashes of the scents I have than you. If I like something fine but it is not club worthy I generally use it up and move on. I do not like that I currently have a couple partial winter bricks from last year taking up storage space so I will be sure to use them up this year.
@lindah_home_and_scents2 жыл бұрын
I love that philosophy - use up what’s not club worthy or extra special & move on 💛 I stock up on things that I like but don’t love then I worry that I will run out of club bars so I stock up on those too 😳 I’m going to be more discerning going forward. Thanks for sharing your system - I love hearing how others manage their stock.

I keep mine in drawers in my basement where it’s cool. The drawers are my downstairs kitchen drawers however we don’t actually use the kitchen. Then I have a bin upstairs that I keep in my hall closet and that is the bars that I have opened. I don’t like to keep too many bars opened so I try to use them. I would say I have about 90-100 bars. How many bars do you think you have?
@lindah_home_and_scents2 жыл бұрын
Oh gosh I’m not sure, I’ve never actually counted. You saw them all in the video. I’m guessing about 30 per drawer in 5 drawers then the stash in my buffet on the main floor maybe another 30 😳😩 - a lot = 180 yikes!! I also have quite a few bricks. The ‘cave’ where I store my wax trolley is in my basement too. It’s nice & cool down there so my wax keeps well. I’ve just moved my spring summer bars down to store until next year but I’m definitely going to warm though some of the other bars & just keep a stock of my absolute favourites.

Thanks Erin 🤗. I had Sweet Plum Pastry in my club - the one I lost. I was a super fan back in the day. I’ve warmed it a couple of times in the last year (I only have 2 bars left). It’s a great performer and lasts longer than some other bakery scents. I would vote for it again & stock up if it returns but not sure I’d club it this time. So so many people love it though so I hope it returns.

Question: I’ve seen consultants say that the wax bars have pour dates on them, I’ve looked & never seen any date. Is there a way to know how old a bar is when it’s shipped to you? Thanks love your stash!!
@flossyangel12 жыл бұрын
with older bars it's hard to see the pour date because of the clue on the sticker, but newer bars are easier to see the pour date. I have to peel back the sticker til I can see it on the lid of the clam shell.
@lindah_home_and_scents2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that info Angela! I have looked for pour dates & have never been able to see anything. I just went & looked at about two dozen bars & nope…nothing. I know lots of others have - must be my eyesight 🤷♀️ The only way I can tell it’s old stock is when I get bars without the scent category imprints. I just ordered Orchard Apple & Spice - it had no scent categories on the clam so I’m assuming it’s old stock plus the staining on the clam (I’m not thrilled about that)
