I purchased EN after reading a post of someone requesting recommendations for a fragrance to wear to goth or metal concerts, and multiple people suggested EN. I’m not into that music or culture but was very intrigued, and can see why it’d be recommended 😆 I do love it and got me very interested in Nathalie Lorson. I think the engraving on the cap for Ombre Noire is that of a bird used in other Lalique products, a few women’s perfume bottles and glass sculptures. I also saw it in Lalique’s 130th anniversary logo so it seems to be of historic importance. Great video and reviews. I’m looking forward to EI and will likely purchase ON.

I'm studying vetiver at the moment so I thought I would start with Encre Noir and also buy some Ruh Khus attar so I can see how the raw material relates to the use in perfumery. I have already got some Haitian vetiver that I used last year in a project. My Oud dealer is sending me some Ruh Khus next week from his private stock. I love this perfume journey.

I sampled Encre Indigo in Harrod’s in London. Wow is it so good. A wonderful tea fragrance. I’m a fan of the whole line, but find Encre Indigo to be the most wearable yet without being boring at all.

EXCELLENT review. I love the comparisons you draw to certain scenarios with these. It really paints a good picture of how these scents make you feel. I believe I'll have to pick up this whole line, starting with Encre Noire. I really value the emotions that scents make me conjure. For example, one of my guilty pleasure fragrances is Avon's classic Black Suede, as it's what all the positive male role models in my life wore as I was growing up. Thank you!

The Lalique Le Parfum (edp) is also a great fragrance. It is promoted for women, but actually is totally unisex. 🙂 I have all 3 of the Noire line. The edt is my favorite, then comes the extreme. The Sport version is good for hotter days, but has - in my opinion - been too much "watered" (airy, light).

I like to use clean white musk from authenticity perfumes underneath the original. Gives it a little bit more depth
