I'm brand new. Thanks for breaking this all down. I keep trying to draw flowers, simple ones to watercolor. Hummingbirds too. It all looks off. I’m learning to sketch and learning so much watching your tutorials, thank you. I’ve just bought the FC Polychromos pencils and getting the Albrecht Durer pencils for Christmas. I’m interested in both graphite and colour so I feel confident I can use them in my sketches without getting overwhelmed. I have tried acrylic paint the other week but it turned out looking like a pigs bottom 😂

They can be made in other papers but the rougher paper is better for sketching with the special drawing pencils

Not quite a fruit lover :D The set up method is pretty easy and clear, but as a very beginner, I feel very very nervous when looking at complex object(s), esp when there is no clear edges to separate different parts (e.g. human face). Maybe there are lessons on those skills. I keep on watching, and practicing if possible.

I think I do understand. Best thing you can do is to take a photo of it and turn it to black and white. There are many free apps on your phone that can do this. Then if you only use regular pencil, you will know what is lighter and darker. Hope that helps bro!

Pros weren't born as pros. It took a lot of work for them to be pros. So just do your best and keep going :)

Hesham Montasser maybe you should try using pencil instead of pen. Graphite is generally better for sketching and drawing and you can erase unwanted marks whilst refining your drawing if you use pencil.
